Just wanted to know where the good seats were at ANZ, going to watch the Sydney v WC game there. I have never been and wanted to book over the net but I dont want to end up in the middle of a sea of Sydney supporters. Not that there are a sea of them to begin with! :)

I've just gone for the silver tickets... I don't think they're great but they were only $20 so I don't mind too much - it's in the second tier, 45 degree angle to the goals.

I reckon with ANZ you don't really want to be behind the goals because of the shape of the stadium. You won't see much action.

ANZ stadium has a bit of a funny seating configuration, but if you're going silver you'll probably find yourself amongst good eagle company :))) the ANZ stadium website is a useful tool for getting an idea of the view from particular seats

I'd probably add to that, that a lot of the swans fans will be in the members areas, and superpass holders are seated in a reserve area too. if you're going silver reserved seating you'll find a good smattering of blue and gold

I've been trying to book tix for this game for four weeks! They release the sh!t seats online first. I'm trying to get silver seats as well but some of them are pretty shite, particularly the ones on the lower level). I've just got a seating config of the stadium and pull out of the transaction if I get lumped in a crappy bay (i.e. behind the goals or in the pocket).

I have found with ANZ Stadium that the lower level is better as you are closer to the ground. The stadium tends to make you feel like you are so far away from the action if you are up high. Plus there isn't usually many people up there as well so it lacks atmosphere.. which Sydney supporters don't need any help on... :p

As for being surrounded by Eagles supporters, there will be a smattering of us there, but you will always have one Swans supporter that will sit near you who doesn't have a clue about the game and calls the umpires refs, yells "Ball" at every opportunity etc.. There is too many of them for you not to be able to get away from them!

cheers guys have booked the tickets im in section 101 row 10 its non drinking and is the best seats that ticketex would give me so thats where im at!

I'm in section 101 too..

And from Kalgoorlie originally.. I probably know you!

My friend bought the tickets... please don't tell me its not drinking? I can't deal with a game of those idiots supporters and not have a drink!!!

That comment about Swans supporter calling umpires refs and yelling 'ball' almost every minute is so true. It drives me insane. ANZ Stadium is a terrible venue to watch football and made even worse being surrounded by people who have no clue about the game.

One comment that still resonates with me was the first game of 2007 when the Eagles won by less than a goal and immediately after the final siren a middle-aged woman sitting nearby stated very loudly, "they must have all been smoking dope. That is the only way they could have beat us". I just laughed at her because she obviously had no idea about the effects of smoking marijuana.

I would be happy never to see another sporting match at that ground ever again.

btw its "a glorified mickey mouse" game at anz stadium for the most part

you go there and pick up backpackers who are curious about what the hell is going on out there

trust me, i know all about it
