Might have been drastic but I bought a cheap Essendon membership to garauntee tickets for me and my family. With flights and accommodation already booked it was worth it as it relieved the stress of battling the general public for tickets!

Can tell you that AFL members ticket sales go on sale 9am tomorrow morning. through ticketek.

I'm lucky I have a mate who is an MCC member. If I miss out on tix I usually get in as a guest. Nothing compares in the H&A to the atmosphere and history of the ANZAC day clash.

Yeah, i usually do this for ANZAC day, especially since it's an Essendon home game. It's too far to travel to be sitting in the nose bleeds.

I look at it as a guy that is willing to go into enemy territory to see his beloved team battle it out. Sitting right in the middle of the scum, risking everything from leprosy to Hep B.....:thumbsu:

Would have given them a fake name though....

All the seats in P18 are good seats, pretty much.

Deck below the top, and 18 is right in the middle of the wing.

They're usually some of the first seats to sell out - N (the level below P) goes first, then P, then M and Q.

Are you an AFL member? If not, how the hell did you get those? All I could get is in the nosebleeds and that was 2 nights ago. :(
Yep, AFL member, it's the first bay of AFL members on the bottom deck (about 70 metres out from goal).:thumbsu:

That's assuming the MCC come to the party, and they can't even do that for Grand Finals!
Yep, like always, there will be plenty of empty "green seats", even for the biggest home and away game of the year.

The MCC are an embarrassment to the what is the greatest stadium on earth, and should be made to pre book tickets like everyone else.:thumbsd:

Most MCC members for the big games do prebook but they only allocate about half the seats as reserved seating and leave the rest as walk up. One thing that annoys me most about the MCC (I'm an MCC member by the way) is that for big games half the times the seats are taken at the start of the game by supporters of neither club, and then shortly later they walk off to the bar or whatever and never come back leaving the empty seats. Even at the GF these goons sit there in their Melbourne or Geelong scarfs etc then as soon as they're slightly bored they leave. So most of the time the MCC is full or close to full, but nobody is sitting in the seats because they're at the bar or have left already.

Hi guys,

I'm so annoyed I missed out on tickets. I didn't get myself organised in time and now they're all sold out. Does anyone know what my chances would be like to get some tickets if and when more go on sale on Wednesday, April 6th? Any suggestions or info would be appreciated.

GO PIES

Tommy, I'd say you have a "small" chance of getting tickets on the last on sale day, but note most of those seats will be either standing room or restricted viewing.

Your only chance may be Ebay, but that can be "dodgy", although prices don't seem too silly at the moment.
