News App Issue: Alerts/Notifications not generated

Solution:
1. Sign out of the app.


2. Close the app down entirely.
3. Re-open the app.
4. Sign in.

Recently i have stopped recieving alerts from threads that im subscribed to .ive tried to uninstall and reinstall to no avail.whats the go?

I think the settings are correct in the phone and the app.altho im technologically illiterate.wheres the app menu?

Top right - the three bars button when you're in Participated or Subscribed.

Under that is the Notifications option.

Try Marking all as read - the little tick in the top right in Notifications.

Thanks for giving it a shot.tapatalk is working fine showing alerts but BigFooty isnt showing any

The BigFooty app is run on Tapatalk system. Email them and they might have something else for you to try.

This is the worst mobile application ever invented and released onto mobile phones, it’s bloody terrible, doesn’t work, continually logs the user out and ask for new passwords. I wish the programmer had ever tried to use the crap they released

Tapatalk responded after a while.

Apple have changed their rules.

"Third party" apps like this - we run an app that crosses between us and another company (Tapatalk) - can no longer send push notifications.

This is pretty ridiculous, and Tapatalk have dragged their feet on other issues we are having like all of the outdated notices still displaying for all users.

Our current advice is to use the web site which is responsive on mobile.

Take the experience of using a bank - you pay someone using your mobile in online banking an the bank send you a code via text. You can swipe out of banking, get the code of messages then swipe back in and make the payment. If you don't log out of big footy the next time you go in it says your session wasn't finished and to post anything you have to do a verification which is sent by email. You swipe out of big footy to open the email for the code but when you swipe back into big footy it just repeats the process so you just can never get back in unless you get the email open on a different device and stay with the page open on big footy. I have big footy on 3 Apple devices and its impossible to be mobile with it because of the way it works - or doesn't work with log on verifications. If it simply 'logged' a user out, say after 20 minutes of non use it would be so much better.
