why are you even talking, everybody know that St.Kevins isn't even a real school. You guys should crawl back to your hole under the freeway and stay there. Your not wanted within the upper echilion of private schools which the rest of us reside. Your appaling behaviour is testament to your inadequacy to act like a proper school. Your baseless coments are just shamless. Armoured in shamlessness you are. Attendencies speak for themselves guys. Your guys wouldnt know school spririt if it hit you in the face. Achive something apart from rugby ( which no school apart from your actually prioritises).

Let me guess----reply from Edgar 07

hahahaha, you just proved all of the points i have made.

you foolish, foolish boy/man (hopefully boy).

upper echillon of schools?
well i can't say i have ever heard a more wanky, haughty or pretentious comment on this forum before, but i shall take you to task about that anyway.

interesting that you'd speak of st kevin's in such a way when it has consistently out performed all other APS, infact all other non-selective boys private schools in the VCE for the last 7 years.

looks like mummy and daddy's 20,000 dollars have been wasted on you my man, because you struggle. you really do.

i liked the whole "crawl under the freeway" line though. that was a good one. you have a very searching mind. so searching in fact that you searched through all the possible ways to insult me and yet still chose the least insulting remark of all. but you know, you had a go at me and that was a fairly gallant and valliant effort. well done.

and thankyou for calling my comments shameless. that means that they are "without shame." that was very kind of you.

onto the final section of your post.

Achievements:
skevs has won premierships in all sports apart from swimming and rowing so i think we have achieved something. infact, in the past 20 years we have sportingly been one of the best performing school in the APS.

Spirit:
however, when we consider football, as this is what this forum is all about, skevs has been one of the most mediocre schools and yet we still draw consistently large crowds to our games whether it be at home or away games. i think that speaks volumes for the fidelity and loyalty of people at the school. and then you speak about how poorly behaved we are. skevs supporters are vocal, but that is because we are spirited! so that in itself is a contradiction of everything you have said.

so speaking of baseless comments, just read your post again and you will see one (to borrow the term you used so nicely) hit you in the face.

good day to you sire.

What a waste of time and air you are mate, to say that St Kevin's isn't even a real school just shows how ignorant you Melbourne grammer boys are. I know through years of experience in the APS that St Kevin's is held in high regard by many of the top APS schools, and the number of fierce rivalieries shows that. Scotch Vs Skevs, Xavier Vs Skevs are always massive games and looked forward to by both schools. I don't pretend to question the history or rivalry involved between melbourne and scotch, but in a shorter time Skevs has managed to create healthy rivalaries through years of tough sport rather than history that had no involvement in. I can tell you have just arrived on the year 12 scene and think your crowds are the biggest thing since sliced bread but i can assure that the biggest crowds have being and gone in APS football mate, your crowd against BGS was impressive, looked like there was about 300 students there, but this hardly compares to the days of 2001 when over 1500 were at St Kevin's to watch SKC Vs XC. The fact that you boys need a drum to make noise highlights your lack of voice. And if you want to label St Kevin's as appaling because a few students and fathers abused players then i pitty you, and am truly sadden that APS football has got to a point were you can no longer have a laugh and sledge opposition sides. Its all part of the game and what used to make the APS so good. do you get angry when you go watch an AFL game and people sledge the players and umpires? maybe it's time you boys stop playing tick tack toe on your drums and harden the F*ck up.

nicely put uncle.
i am feeling a revival of the skevs vs xavier blockbuster next year.
should be youge down at oval #1 next season.

2001...7 years ago. 1 match..."i am feeling a revival of the skevs vs xavier blockbuster next year"

1858 to 2008...over 150 matches...ALL of them getting WELL over 1500. thats nothing
the mcg this friday is going to massive

if it was a great rivalry, it wouldnt need to be talked up as "lets have a revival"...it should be every year

This so called BIG game between skevs and xavs which had 1500 is smaller than any crowd the scotch grammar game has ever got - there's a minimum of about 2000 students alone at the cordner eggleston cup

Also whoever thinks racial vilification is fine because it is sledging needs to get a reality check. Seriously, who the &^%$ do you think you are?

I’m not here to say that I condone racial abuse, but I have heard people being called just about every name under the sun and get on with the game, unfortunately due to the nature of the game, spectators feel free to say anything they want as they are behind the white line. I’m sure if this case was so serious, and worse than any previous incident then action would have being taken at the school. And seeing as no such action has being reported it either wasn’t that bad or never really eventuated like you boys say. I simply referred to one great game I witness because it had a young and inform Luke ball running around. Do you really want me to list every great game I’ve ever seen with a big crowd? I was simply giving an example of how crowds used to be much bigger and spirited. I will no fall into the traps of your stupid online games, but wish you all the best in finding the bigger picture in life boys.

mate u should go to all the MGS games then this yr. huge crowds againts xavier, hailerbury, brighton, geelong college and pretty impressive one agints caulfield. scotch match will deffently b another big crowd. only game where MGS havent had a huge crowd is wesley, geelong grammer, carey and thats about it id say.
id say thats alot of spirit, maybe crowds use to b bigger just at your school, but at mgs they are huge and have always been decent.

look i dont know what it is with you grammar chaps, but you have not always drawn big crowds. you are like the richmond of the APS; ergo only turning up when your team is winning.

take last yr for example. MGS playing a mediocre skevs team at your home "flak park" and it was a pathetic crowd, so don't say you draw large crowds every week because of your tremendous "spirit."

yes yes, MGS is one of aussie rules founding fathers and yes we know you play at the MCG on the odd ocassion against the scotchies, but apart from that you are about as loyal as "the rotating forward" was to the bitch out personal message that he sent me, vowing not to continue this argument.

you have a good year for attendances and you think you are the be all and end all of APS crowds. you're not, you really aren't.

the thing that seperates grammar from its old foe scotch is its ignorance.
scotch know they are arrogant and admit it.
grammar are equally as arrogant as scotch but are completely oblivious to this fact, thinking its normal for all people to be inclined that way.

and when i mentioned a revival in skevs vs xavier matches i wasn't speaking crowd wise (as if you had a clue you'd realise that it drew a very large crowd on a cold and windy day at xavier this year) but in the bearing such a match would have on the season as for the past few years those clashes have had no effect on the outcome of the season.

mate your missing the point
IF it was a great rivalry, it wouldnt need to have any bearing on the season to get a big ground swell of support

The grammar scotch matches actually usually have smaller than usual crowds when they play at the G because the atmosphere, as good and grand that the ground is, is not as great than it is at scotch or on the MGS Main Oval...

This is not just a one off year also, i bet next year MGS will again have some of the biggest crowds in the APS and you can hold me to that

And yes, Flack Park isnt the most conveniant, crowd drawing, accessable places in the world so grammar make up for it by getting big crowds at away games

the reason why we have to play out there is because the the Main Oval isnt big enough to play a good solid game of football for the first 18
at least grammar admits that...unlike skevs and their crappy excuse for an oval..

no you're missing the point.
read my post again and then have another go.

ok then
what do u need a revival of then?
the bearing the match has on the season??

what i was trying to say is that if scotch were bottom and grammar were in the middle and it was in the middle of the season and both teams had no chance of achieving anything, we would still pull more than 2K to the match
no "revival"ing needs to happen with this rivalry

i dont think so rotating forward.

3 reasons you are a spanner, not me:

I. you think MGS is the only school capable of drawing a crowd.
II. you try to bitch out of this argument because you have no spine, then go back on this. which is a further testament to the fact that you are an invertebrate.
III. have the misguided audacity to call me a tool.

go away.

i would like to have a "revival" because it would make the game far more interesting no?

AFL example: carlton vs collingwood clashes for the past few years. this yr was he first for a long time where the match was important in the scheme of the season.

Mate get over yourselves and come join the rest of the schools when your are ready.

School spirit is 200 boys standing in the rain in blazers drenched head to toe, watching our mob of athletes smash yours in 2006, when you were favourites, and 2007 (no rain..) but again you were favourites.
Take Daddy's dildo out of your ass and harden up. Go sip some shiraz with Mummy and your "upper echilion" mates. And Just for the record who gets better VCE results... haha you couldnt even beat the "skevs scum" in English. you piece of s***

thats where your crowds have been...studying...now i get it
fair enough

anyway, thats irrelevant
school formals are not during the day when i last checked and i cant imagine it would take anyone more than 30 mins (max) to get ready for a formal so thats not an excuse

school spirit is 300 boys "standing in the rain" drenched head to toe watching our mob of footballers all the way out in brighton

school spirit is this week leading upto the grammar scotch match
all conversations at school revolve around this match in the week leading up to it
most boys in yrs 9 to 12 know the first 21 by heart

watched an inspiring doco today about the game...wish you could see it..... but u cant
the 1956 grammar scotch game was a thriller...huge crowd packing out the G

no one cares about grammar vs scotch unless you go to grammar or scotch.

don't you get it?

are you thick?

plenty of other games are important to each school.

eg: skevs vs xavs, caulfield vs brighton, xavs vs scotch, geelong grammar vs college, hailebury vs brighton...the list goes on.

enough with the arrogance already.

mate, seriously get over your pedal pushing, there are more than 2 teams in the APS sure you have had a good season, full of "spirit" and "history" but you cant just expect respect because you have been playing footy for 150 years.

wake up to yourself and leave this shitty argument tossing bullshit about our school where it belongs, which isnt here.

this thread wasnt intended to be this way but your skevs mate started the argument back on the first page and then labelled grammar "cheaters" etc etc...said we had no school spirit, said we have only got big crowds this year and said that st kevins has "true" school spirit and grammar has none

if someone said that about any school, of coarse they're going to be pissed off and everyone for their own reasons believes that their school has more "spirit" and whatever (note again that it was not i that started this whole "spirit" business")

then somebody claimed that racism is the same as sledging, so that was argued

and then he claimed that the skevs/xavier rivalry in 2001 got some fantastic crowd and that crowds in the APS are a thing of the past and i claimed that the grammar/scotch rivalry is bigger and better, and its crowds at present are bigger than that very special 2001 match so in my opinion, big APS are not a thing of the past and im sure you guys believe that too by the sound of things

i did not ask for respect once, i just stated bare facts...that is, we have played football for 150 years (as of tomorrow) and thats a big feat in my opinion...obviously not in yours and im fine with that
