This weekend sees Melbourne Grammar head down to Geelong College to try and avenge their narrow loss on Todd Rd last year. Word is college are getting some stars back from injury and will be hoping to make it two years in a row against melbourne. The match up looks mouthwatering on paper and considering I'm going all the way down to have a look i hope both teams put on a real spectacle.
as i you would go all that way to watch a school football match when both schools have no chance in winning the cup.. even if they did, its school football!

Is this years Haileybury team better than last years?
GGS will give them a shake atleast for the first half anyway..
Any thoughts?

it does not matter what team is good and what players are. the fact is, no school in melbourne would match the might of some adelaide schools.

Caufield have an all australian player, could be number 3 from memory very good player!

You have to be joking! Obviously you have never played school footy. There two great sides that have developed a rivalry against each other, college knocked them off at Todd road last year by less than a goal, grammer are traveling down the princess highway wanting revenge... it will be great game to watch why wouldn’t you go all the way to watch a game like that.

Maybe you would be gracious enough to name the schools, as many SA teams come to Melbourne during the holiday season to play good competition like ACC, AGS and APS, who in turn let the fringe players have a game in the first squads

well i believe st.peters knocked of melbourne grammer, who had a full team, killed wesley. rostrevor destroyed st.kevins and sacred heart last year beat assumption. what you got to say about that ?

from watching Caine last year and coming to watch geelong vs cgs. i believe that caine is a good player but has no heart. nothing big enough to hold back the onballers from cgs who carved us up. number 1 and number 3 are two big problems that skevs are going to have to stop. they are needing someone else to help out the one man army and julian moussi (whoever you spell it) is too much of a goose to be accountable.

Skevs with an under-manned side this week, having 5 players who were not in the 1sts squad forced to play due to many injuries, defeated the cgs boys. the boys didnt even need MR CAIN to hold back the cgs onballers as many first gamers stepped up to the challenge and proved to be far supperior to that of the undisciplined and dirty players from caulf. well done to the 5 first gamers, showing that even with countless injuries that we are still able to produce a mighty side!

The midfield battle between SKC and CG was clearly won by skevs, minus cain. Keely, Dixon, both murphys, moose and keogh set the games up for st kevins who played a great game, touch at the ball all day.

Rostrevor were an average side "ghetto blasters" would not beat many sides in the APS. St Kevins had 9 of their starters out plus another few. Victorian football is without a doubt stronger than south australian football. The APS side would probs beat your state side

Who would be the leaders in the B&F at St kevins

Yeah, durham, keely, dixon and keogh at the moment. Have plenty of other players who have the ability to win it tho

i play xavier 1st, so i do play school football..

"grammer are traveling down the princess highway wanting revenge" - mate, c'mon, a bit over the top...i would never go to geelong to watch that - who cares who wins., has no impact on the season for the contenders
