dotn even start the amount of racism fromm not only tour players but people behind the goals and several farthers on the side was absolutely discusting and skevs should b ashamed.

yeh lets not sour your school's good win by bringing that type of comments into this forum, there was no racism, you are kidding yourself.

and id like to point out, that your school's efforts to pass off scholarships to indigenous people is bogus. you say that these scholarships are given under the pretence of charity, yet do you really think that if those boys couldnt play footy they'd be at your school? no, i think not. yes grammar, lets be charitable and righteous (though not really) when its convenient in your 150th year, because after that it doesnt really matter does it?

and charles shaw, though no where near your school's best player, is an excellent leader, handles himself very well.
ive seen him at cricket and at footy, and he handles himself with equal grace in both.
any captain in the same position wouldve done the same thing in the dying seconds.

While Shaw handled himself in well under extreme pressure can I point that he is not the captain for grammar... Jack Maccioli is mate.

Wouldn't exactly say that, has been a key part of the team for 3 years now. Doesn't exactly do the highly flashy stuff, just gets the job done, and nowadays people expect alot and have very high expectations and when he doesn't people think he's played badly. He isn't footy captain, but is a key leader of the team. School captain

There was definitely some racist stuff going on from behind the goals. Some of the MGS players complained about it to the coaches and they had a chat to the MGS players about it after the match. If its true, very disappionting from St.Kevins.
MGS have given out scholarships but all this stuff abou them being for our 150th year is crap considering they have been to three u16 players in Luke Mitchell, Steven May and Anthony Hale.

All the schools that MGS has beaten have accepted defeat, well done if you win the premiership but you guys simply cannot admit that the 150 year thing is true, your indegenous scolars were picked for 1 reason and 1 reason only, to play footy and that is what they are excellent at.

We have about a dozen indigenous guys on scholarships at school, of whom 5 are in the 1s. All are nominated and chosen by their communities, and have to suit a number of cricteria. Often the aboriginals who are most suited for the move and would fit in the best at school in melbourne happen to be footballers.

However none of MGS' indigenous guys are absolute guns (e.g. cyril rioli, Djekurra style). Rather, junior played 10As last year, bean played 10As, ah chee played 2nds, long played 2nds, hale played 2nds. They were not 'recruited', and are not stars.

Our yr12 cohort is very strong, as seen by our performance in Aths last year, volleyball over summer and cricket over summer (was undefeated, with only 1 scholarship player in the team, who was on a half schol. and was in yr 10). That is the reason for our success across the board in the APS, not in just footy.

.
these players are often most suited to melbourne life because of footy trips and tours and they stand out in a community because most of the communities are based around footy

alright lets get this straight

melbourne grammar does not give out the scholarships just for football and it has already been explained well enough by "the rotating forward"...
Big Fraser, if you went to Grammar you would understand but i think at the moment you are making some very ignorant comments

btw, whoever said it was a bit unsportsman like is an idiot...with 26 seconds left, when charles took that mark, up by less than a goal. any good player would walk it over when it is absolutely packed with players in all directions

to add a final note, the stkevins fans that sang (about 4-5 of them) after goals were scored, made a fool of themselves. quite funny, keep up the goood work

so u decided to just clear up everything on this thread without even reading it properly calling me an idiot wen i was congratulating grammar and thought they were top blokes making me look like the bad guy...well done. if u actually read wat i sed it was SMART but a BIT unsportmenlike...meaning in my point of view it wasnt the right way to finish what was an awsome fought game and that kicking the ball long and to the boundery may have been better cause they were always gonna win once we scored that behind ( as you sed it was a mark which it wasnt it was a behind kicked)

anyway moving away from the dross about racism etc, where did this mitchell bloke come from?
he is an absolute gun, and whichever TAC cup team has him is very fortunate.

he used to go to st bernards so he is at the calder cannons. he is an underage year 11 so he still has got plenty of development left

Agree. 7 goals yesterday, deadly set shots in windy conditions and a good pair of hands. Maybe a bit slow, but he appears to have a good footy future ahead of him. I'm definately in the fan club.
