APS Selections?

Tom Fairbairn, Albert Weddell, Ed Curnow, Lachie Henderson, Ayce Cordy all got selected to try out. Some big upsets were McClure and Johnstone not getting an invite to train. They both have played since yr9 and Johnstone was in the squad for APS in yr10. His return from a knee reconstruction has put him off the radar.

Only 2 scotchies of that list will make it.

The coach at the school nominates 4-5 (max) players for the training sessions. 3 school reps then choose a side and one coach from the APS takes the reins. It rotates every season.

Xavier - Noonan, Wynne, Smith, Sanfillipo & Kennedy

He killed Lynch (HC), owned Lisle (Ca) and spanked Cachia (St K)
He would have to win the XC by a country mile and will probably be vice-captain to Kennedy next year.

6 players from st.kevs in the aps squad. James Kennedy, Glenn Chivers, James Tamourides, Scott Newman, Luke Andrews and Karl Wissell. With all the other talent from the aps schools its going to be hard to make the cuts. Solid aps team this year.

Skevs will have two or three in the team.
 
Its a bit hard to split the 6 players from st.kevs all playing different positions. Kennedy a strong full back, chivers dominant centre half back, wissell solid half back, newman a hard nut midfielder, andrews quick clean mid fielder and tamourides as a versatile player with the speed, skill and strength to play any position
 
They are all very good, but there are better players for those spots at other sides.

that chivers, he's the kid the smashes everyone yeh? what was his seasons stats? 2 collarbones, a concusion, and one sent to hospital when he only tackled the kid? :p

haha thats not very biased...lisle had 35 possies and a couple of goals in that game..lynch and cachia probly dominated as well...

sorry brickster you're wrong mate i do stats for carey and he had 34 that day we have all the stats from the season still i just checked them so he may be overrated but he did alright that day...

Damien Ryan from XC was very unlucky to miss out.....;)
 
Lisle did in fact beat Noonan on that day and from what i recall i remember Noonan being pretty dirty with himself for loosing the battle. Lisle managed to rack up 30 plus possesions and kick a couple of snags....Noonan payed him no respect.

I don't know what your all talking about cause the big fella Lisle will be lining up for the combined APS side at Full Forward as their key target going forward. Goodluck to the Fullback! He is going to have a terrible day!
 
somehow i cant see C.Smith being dethrowned of the FF position
