I'm a social club member, as is my wife. My son is a junior member. IMO it is about having a say/vote. Yuo get nothing more tangible for it. Until this year you were guranteed a GF ticket if we play in the GF. You get to use social club facilities. I'll tell you what that means when we have a social club but from a personal point of view I can't see myself using it much.

I can tell you that after spending $475 on a social club membership (I'm only 20 remember) last year, I'll avoid it at all costs.

Put it this way - I booked tickets on a MONDAY for a Saturday night match, and I was 2nd row from the back after paying an additiopnal $13 for booking the ticket...

That was enough for me.

Happened to me all the last few years. It has nothing to do with Collingwood or the social club membership, it is AFL ticketing. This year I bought seats for home games. Good seats but I can't sit with opposition mates now or take my niece and nephew.

Yeah I understand it's not the club's fault, but still I'm not paying that much for that result.

Seasons Ticket it is!

(And MCC, which is GREAT bang for buck).

I am a Junior AFL Member with Collingwood Club Support, It is great, I am 17 and at 17 you are eligible for a Junior Membership. I try to go to as much football as possible, And the AFL Membership allows you to 40 AFL Games in Melbourne, I have been limited this season and have been unable to attend Sunday games thanks to my Year 11 debutant ball, but that will be over next week, so Sunday Football, here I come, I have attended all 14 Collingwood Games in Melbourne, all games I have been seated on the Wing, Broadcast side at Telstra Dome (Aisle 10-12). At the MCG I have been seated right smack bang on the Wing (M18-20), Right next to, or in line with the Coaches Box. The reasons for the good seats is because we lined up on March 15, to get the best seats possible.

So all in all, I am a Collingwood Member, One of 41,130 Collingwood Members in 2004.

Captain's membership this year - Legend's last year. Probably Capatin's again next year, though it's a lot of money to pay for not too many benefits IMO. Social Club doesn't seem to be anything more than a donation to the CFC and an entry pass into very long queues for drinks in the bar!

I'm an MCC member as well as CFC Social Club Member (which is basically a donation. Doesn't get me anything.) I've considered chucking in the MCC and upgrading the CFC, but its hard to let go of the guaranteed GF entry.

Good seats. I forget the price. We bought 2 reserved seat social club packages and a junior membership. I'll get back to you re price if I remember in the next few days. It's not a bad package when there are big games but I really didn't want reserved seats because I often go with my brother and I like to go with opposition supporter mates and I also used to take my niece and nephew who support Carlton to Coll. v Carlton games. Now if I use my seats I can only sit with my wife and son. My best mate is Richmond and we always go together. Now I either can't sit with him or I can't sit with my wife. If I knew I could get in every week I would have reserved seats just for that reason.

Just wait a few years and it will be worth getting a social club membership. With the new centre across the road to the G and not too far from the Dome it will be a great place to go back to after any game.

You can get alot of benefits from a social club membership if you use it wisely. Your probably better off to get them with a few mates though.

Last year I got one on my own and it wasn't that good because you have to do everything by yourself. This year their is about 8 of us and it is much more enjoyable.

Social Club as well. Badge number on the left. :)

Sure the new social club will be great but it is behind the goals as I understand it and not on the wing, where I prefer to sit so that is a bit dissappointing.
