Armitage Broken Collarbone.

Terrible luck. It just might not be Armo's year. Still could be a very handy inclusion come finals time. Although there always has been a question mark about his fitness and his ability to run out VFL games strong from start to finish. Missing potentially six weeks with an injury will not help his cause to break into St.kilda's finals starting side. Shame really, could be a talent. Hope he recovers strong and breaks into seniors team. It will keep Geary and McQualter on their toes to keep performing well.

You said it. :(

If it does turn out to be a 6 week injury it's going to be very hard for him to break into the senior team before the end of the season.

Just says

David Armitage Shoulder 2 weeks on the injury list but then with further researching

David's brother on Saintsational tells us it's a collardbone and 4-6 weeks.

Really? Sorry to hear that guys.

What would St Kilda be willing to take for David?

I believe he is worth a high first round. Would Saint fans be happy with that?

Obviously better than 9 as that is what you guys got him at.

I would not be dissapointed if we gave you pick 5 for him.

I'd think the club would jump at that if it was offered.

Bad news for Armo, as said above he can't take a trick poor bugger. Hopefully wherever he ends up playing he puts his head down and becomes the star we all expect him to become.

why? there's no gurantee that pick number 5 will be any good. Some top draft picks have turned out to become flops. we know armitage well enough to know he can become a good player.

I'm in shock.

I was standing 6 feet away from him when he came off for a rest. No pyhsio attention, no grabbing his shoulder, No nothing. Played out the game and did well. Must be a shoulder problem not a collarbone that has been suggested.

That's fantastic news JMac ,listening to the guys from the the community radio via the internet all they said was his shoulder had been heavily strapped and he looked sus.
I would take your eyewitness account as being accurate.
Do you think he will miss any games?

No Idea??????

From what i could see he should be sweet to play this week. Maybe its a niggling injury that needs some rest. No way would they let him keep playing if it was anything serious.

Players from time to time spoke with the Physio but he never did.

Looks like you were right after all. There is no substitute for being next to the action!!!

Armitage first appeared on the injury list on Tuesday (he is still on there as "shoulder, 2 weeks")... now he's named (albeit in the extended team) ?

I know he's a tough man, but ... What are they trying to gain from such little games ?

There is often a disconnect between the football department and the people who run the website. Maybe the early indications weren't good, but he is now going to play through the injury.

I can't see how the club would waste a spot in the squad if he wasn't available to play.
