Bombers off to a good start against the Lions, 2 goals to 1.

We'd also prefer Port to knock off the Roos at AAMI Stadium.

Last night's result was 50-50 for us, and the Geelong vs. Freo game was neither here nor there, the Cats will finish top 4 no matter what.

True, it's all fairly academic if we don't make top four, and for that to happen we need to be competing with Sydney. However, if we do manage to catch Sydney, it would be better if it didn't come down to percentage between us, Brisbane, Adelaide and co.

Bombers have gone berserk, kicking 8.3 in the first quarter to the Lions' 3.0 :thumbsu:

Bombers losing a bit of their momentum, currently up by 10 points, 9.6 to 8.2, 21 mins 2nd quarter.

Port Adelaide have lost the lead to North, who are up by 2 points late in the first quarter.

The big one we need is the Hawks tomorrow.
Most of the others wont affect us if we keep winning, but Sydney is the only team we can move ahead of.

So go Hawks.

There are 28 points left in games to be won and lost by all sides.
Never say never. Injury, suspension could all take their toll on any side.

Sydney are the most likely side we can move ahead of.

Come on Port for god sake get some backbone....your letting us down.

port are up by 9 points. n lonie having a hand in two goals

64 to 55

good game to watch if anyone has pay tv

Port have the lead, 58 to 55, deep into the 3rd. North will have the breeze in the last though.

Dons 137-111 21minutes of the last gone

Dons have it won barring miracles.
Essendon 22.11 143
Brisbane 18.9 117

Port winning would have the added advantage of putting our 2nd round pick 1 position higher in the draft order. ;)

dam tredrea didnt even look like he tried to kick that

had a shot with 40 secs left in the pocket

port lose by 2

Damn.

The Lions' loss is the more important result though, and of course we need the Hawks to break their duck against the Swans tomorrow.

true , need the swannies to have another loss.

plus we have the chance to put the roos out , lets hope we can get some payback for that loss earlier in the season against them

We now have 14% advantage over the Crows in 6th. Percentage is virtually irrelevant with regard to the Swans, as they gained the extra 2 points against the Roos in controversial circumstances.

Tonights result of the Bears Dons game was what we wanted.

Hawks would be favorite to knock off the Swans but recent history would belie that favoritism. Ideally we should do the job in person next time we meet them. Both.

Next step for the boys is "operation square-up" v North next friday night.

Go Pies.....

Need the Hawks to fire up tomorrow. Dont think the Crows will be pushing us come September with the injuries today. The lions are going through a rough stage as well.

I always look at the glass as half empty rather than half full, which is really a blight on myself.

But, great to see now that we've guaranteed a finals position with the results this weekend. I think realistically we can actually push for a top 4 spot (touchwood).
