After following Arsenals performances this season so far i cant help but think how ordinary Arsenal would be if it wasnt for Henry.
He has kicked nearly half their goals and has had a hand in setting up numerous others.
How Tottenham would have loved to have Henry up front for them on the weekend instead of the wasteful Postiga.
I think Arsenal would be nothing more than a middle of the road side without him.
What are other peoples thoughts?

Arsenal would struggle to get goals without Henry.

Liverpool are goal shy without Owen.

Manchester United would struggle for goals without RVN.

And I doubt that Spurs would go from mid-table strugglers to championship challengers with the addition of Henry, Owen, or RVN.

Henry was lucky Pires was following up Kellers very good save from his strike. A player of his quality should have stuck that away. I get the feeling it has to look good for T.H. ( check his penalty style ! ) Don`t get me wrong, he is a joy to watch I just wish he would sometimes try the simple things .
How good has Lehmann been ? Brilliant. Wenger has missed once or twice with his signings but more often than not he has been spot on. Lehmann is looking like one of his best.

Can't say I agree with that.

Thierry Henry is prominently involved in nearly every one of Arsenal's goals. He makes things happen for them.

Man Utd have shown this year they don't rely on RVN. Sure he is often the man there to poke in the rebound or finish a play-off but Man-Utd would struggle nowhere near as much as Arsenal if they lost Henry. Add Henry to any side in the premiership and that side would imrove a fair bit. Lets face it most of RVN goals are either penalties, rebounds or finishing off a well worked move and he's the master poacher but Henry has to make alot happen himself.

With RVN Spurs wouldn't improve much. Ruud relies on quality service, which he usually gets in abundance at Man Utd. His opportunites would be far limited at Tottenham and you could halve his man utd goal tally for last season. Whereas putting Henry into Tottenham he is capable of making things happen by himself regardless of the quality surrounding him. MMW any team in the league which has Henry would be European contenders instantly, undoubtedly.

That sort of reminds me of a quote from the movie White Men Can't Jump.
'You'd rather look good and lose than look bad and win.'

However i'm definitely not saying thats the case with Henry, just what you said remeinded me of that quote.

if i was arsene wegner i would rather be missing henry than viera it cost them last season and if he cant stay fit it will cost them again. Man u were not playing well last weekend until keane came off the bench with 15 minutes left and man u scored 2 goals. Keane, Hamman, Viera type players are the ones who will win or lose a premiership. sure the strikers help but the midfielders are the ones who win it

I have to say i disagree there.Henry has kicked 12 of their 25 goals this season and has had a hand in setting up 6 or 7 others which means he has had a hand in almost 75% of all their goals.
Without him there this season Arsenal would have been lucky to win half their games and would probably be sitting middle of the ladder

Actually he has 10 of the 25 goals. I think he only has 2 official assists to his name aswell. But you are right Arsenal would be fairly poor without him.

Most of Arsenal's forward movements revolve around him. If he wasn't there then someone else would be the man, and while they prolly wouldn't do quite as well, they'd prolly still bang in a lot. Anelka scored heaps in the 97/98 championship when he was 'the man' yet he isn't a shadow of Henry.

With guys like Vieria, Pires, Bergkamp, Wiltord, Edu, Freddie, Parlour, Gilberto, Lauren, Cole etc getting the ball forward with such consistent quality, goals will always be scored.

Vieria and Campbell, and maybe even Pires, are just as important as Henry to Arsenal imo.

Using Wiltord in the same sentence as quality just isn't right.

Agree entirely. Although I do not think you should include Hamman, as good as he is, in such illustrious company as Keane or Vieira.

We are missing Vieira BIG time at the moment, especially in Europe.

Wiltord is a very good player IMO. He is no Henry and he may not be a great player for Arsenal standards but he is still a good player and would be the number one striker at most clubs.

Bob is very important to the Arsenal, we're skating on thin ice as far as injuries and our brilliant disciplinary record -cough- goes, and we have a small list ... who do we have that can fill his shoes?

Marc who?
