Just play the test in the opera house. They never really use the campaigner and should be dry inside

He reminds me of Mark Waugh - plenty of talent, but regularly plays a ridiculous shot and gets himself out.
That's a strange comparison. He's more like The Show IMO.

You're probably right when it comes to stats, but Mark Waugh had a completely different batting style.

Head made his runs under no pressure at all.
While Root made his runs under the threat of being sent to the gulag. Triumphing over adversity. Outside of Kohli, he's the greatest test batsman of his generation.
Stevie Wonder would have got a triple century that test.....
