is there a rolling lockout for SC like for DT. A mate said there is nothing in SC rules about a rolling lockout, and so it aint happening.

????

SC has the same rolling lockout as DT so your mate is just trying to get an advantage over you.;)

errr, yeah, probably....

i had a quick read of the rules and under editing and trades it says nuffin about a rolling lockout. The DT site on the other hand is very explicit. I was just after the primary source...but cant find it.

You'll get kicked from your league the moment league matches start if you don't have a complete team. If you just want the first three weeks' worth of score info as a leg up on your mates, more power to you, you big wuss.
I revise my answer. The blurb at the bottom of the leagues page seems to suggest that the Round 1 lockout is the cutoff.

I couldn't figure out how to get to the partial lockout info either, but there's a link to it posted a couple of pages back so read up.

i still dont understand, for example if i pick tippet in my fwd line and lobbe in my rucks, what advantage does that give me, can i then pick an extra fwd liner or something?

Basically it lets you play Tippet in the ruck instead of having to rely on your 3rd or 4th bench rucks that would normally fill in for one of your injured premium rucks and only score 20-40 points.

You can then replace Tippet in the forward line with a good rookie off your bench like Rockcliff who may well score anything from 70-142 points which is alot better than say having Lobbe or Stanley on the ground.

The benefit to the above scenario, dUkezz, is that realistically your forward bench coverage will be scoring more favourably than your ruck bench coverage, therefore netting you additional points by changing around the positions.

Where it becomes even more interesting is when, throughout the year, your team may begin to have a variety of MPP players to the extent where you can use one of your midfield bench players to cover a variety of injuries by doing some switch-a-roos. Once again, the benefit being that midfield benchers are likely to be outscoring other positional bench players

In regards to the following players:

Kerr and Cousins

I was just wondering if anyone is including them in their SC teams, I am considering them, but would love some opinions on them...worth the risk etc...

Maybe you should go find out before you revise it any higher. :D

Point I was trying to make is that I finished in the top 1% of all superocaches which is a bloody good effort. Who cares if I exaggerated my ranking a little. :D

I couldn't remember exactly what my overall ranking was but it was 280 odd at one stage towards the end of the season till I copped a few injures and lost Duddy due to suspension. Still won all 3 leagues though against full strength opponents playing one man down (Duddy) and having to use Rance as a sub for Newman. ;)

Plus I got to knock off the overall number 2 in my league in the Preliminary Final to boot! :thumbsu:

Sweet! :p

I havent got either, but if i did it would have to be Kerr. Got burnt last year by Cuz and his dodgy hamstring. He's just at that age now where injuries will happen more often. Too risky.

West Coast midfield is lookin on the improve so that could be huge for Kerr. He's struggled to do it on his own since Cuz and Judd left but with help he could get back to the scoring form of 2006.

Just a quick one, I've got no 'MPP' players in midfeild. Is that a huge mistake, or no a big deal?

I have Trengove (Port adelaide) as my fourth ruckman. Is he likely to play? and if not, is there any other first year Ruckman capable of playing?

It's hard to tell with 4th rucks. Most seem to be paying the extra $$$ for Warnock as a 3rd. I would suggest if your combo is 2 premiums to get a 83K rookie or maybe Grimely with the Hawks ruck woes. If it's premium/mid price you may want Tippett/Lobbe combo and if it's 2x mid pricer you definately want Tippett/Lobbe.
