If Woosha takes the coaching job then I reckon the only casualties will be German and Lovell.
If an outsider comes in then only Bluey will be safe I suspect as firing him would be to the supporters 'ire' and no coach wants to start off by upsetting the supporters.

But realistically Bluey has had a learning year in the box and that was with a mentor that you couldn't call a tactical wizard.

Wiley has been a good servant but maybe his time has come. It is possible to be stale in one job too long.

Tommy to replace Lovell maybe, and as a runner? It provides some continuation!

If Drummy is still in WA how about him as an assistant coach? More his forte I suspect.

That's if Tommy can run without headaches :(

Bluey's apprenticeship hasn't been great, but he seemed to have footy nous in spades when he played, I'm sure that hasn't evaporated

Drum would be a good pickup. I think he's still in Perth, I saw him in London Court the other week

Tricky - need to look at the whole support team. My guesses:

German & Lovell gone.
Micale stays as main East Perth and young player coach.
Heady and ANOther ex-player as runners (Annear?)
Bluey stays as number 2 - but I don't think an experienced coach (say Wallace or Eade) would accept that, because if it goes wrong, they'll get the blame and be fired with Bluey brought in to save the day.
Therefore, head coach = Woosha. Main strengths - leadership, accountability, discipline, pride in the jumper (exactly what we need).
Maybe a tactical guru behind the scenes as an adviser, perhaps not in a full time role (Parkin? can Brennan/Gepp do it?). Not sure if Drum counts as a tactical guru..........though seemed an exceptionally nice bloke.

How many coaches do you need anyway?

Priority areas in the club that must be resolved asap are:
Fitness & conditioning
Injury
Recruiting
Marketing (the website, the jumpers....etc)

In my opinion, German and lovell should be sacked. Wiley's position reviewed, with only bluey and Micale having secure places.

I would also prefer Connelly from the hawks as a coach, rather than woosha. As much as i like worsfold, i don't know whether 2yrs experience is enough.

I think that MM's article sums up pretty much everything. MM's article

German: Hasn't done anything - should get the axe.
Lovell: He hardly has much influence at the club anyway. He is more connected to East Perth these days.
Micale: Good thinker of football, should be kept!
Wiley: He has been at the club for a long time, maybe a change could be a good move for both parties.
McKenna: Maybe a year or two in the media would suit him before returning to the Assistant Coaching role.

People who the Eagles should target:
Peter Sumich
Mark Riley
John Todd/Barry Cable (as a consultant)
