I don't back him in much but i was pleased with what i seen today, didn't have a super game but was solid for sure, would love to see him build on this as he is pretty tall and looks to be fairly athletic, maybe the Astbury backers on here really had something to talk about!

Didn't see the game today coz i am overseas (sorry madtiger) but have said from day one this kid has something. Persevere with him. Glad he was good today.
How good is it to be a tiger tonight?

Will be better for the run looked liked he belonged , contested really well and cant recall him being beaten, only knock was there were a couple of occasions he could have marked, rather than punch, was good though, did his job, more game time will build condfidence, grimesy was like that early too

195cm 96kg KPP and some wanted to right him off before he has had a chance to get back to playing the footy he was before the injury. Now before some go digging through past threads and bring up where I said I would trade him to GWS for Adams, that is all about giving up something of value to get something of value. However if push comes to shove I'd prefer to hold on to what we've got and if need be use a pick to get Adams, but that's for another thread.

With Astbury Grimes Chaplin Rance Riewoldt Griffiths Vickery Elton & McBean we have a decent group of experienced and developing talls to work with.

Thought he was ordinary in the first half and then did fairly well in the second half.

I have always rated him, very good 3rd tall option for us, and as he grows I think he'll start to be a guy that can play on the KPFs. Needs a pre-season.

For mine, the only question was whether injury had robbed him of too much pace. If he can recover an extra yard, then he has all the other attributes required to make it, IMO.

The one thing that surprised me about him today was he looked a few kgs lighter and seemed quicker.
Good improvement.

Can I just suggest we give our key position players till there 24 before we start being critical, because that's how long they take to find there form unless they are a freo talent aka Cameron!
Jay Shultz comes to mind.
