Ptennisnet... wasn't he the guy who thought he was on a guided tour of Europe, blissfully unaware that he had actually joined the Roman Legion? His speech was all in heiroglyphs and had to be interpreted by the other characters. He was one of the best characters in any of the Asterix books.

No idea which Tintin book featured Asterix.

I'm pretty certain Asterix appeared as one of the costumes someone was wearing during the carnival in the book Tintin and Picaros...the one where they all dress up as a group of touring musicians to stage a coup.

Tintin fully rules, I'll have to go to the library to get some of them out again! I only own 2 books including my favourite...the Calculus affair.
