Sometimes I am not sure we come from the same planet 16. You are telling me a lot of things that a little kid knows - we know why he did it!!!
I said it it is only a suggestion but I have done a bit of work on body language and it is an explanation for his touching the medal - airy fairy sure but I like to think that it was a sacrifice and not simply like giving him your watch
I was just trying to expand and comment on your post Coach. I definitely wasn't having a go... I'm not sure why you insist on belittling and discrediting me every time we interact...

Anyway... I thought you were implying that maybe Bevo regretted giving his medal away. If we both (and any little kid) agree "we know why he did it", then it's unlikely he'd regret it.

I too have done some work on non verbal communication. It's a major part of my job. It's not an exact science so I guess we saw Bevo's actions from different perspectives...

Nah....let's not get cynical now

Yeah maybe I am just being cynical.

I think it was very well played by Bevo, in my opinion he knew exactly what he was going to do prior to going up and played it beautifully. The pause after he finished speaking, back to the microphone to take the medal off his own neck....it was like something out of the WWE!

He seems like a genuinely nice guy who cares a lot about his players and the fans, I just reckon this one was slightly stage managed.

Stage managed or not, doesn't change the fact he gave the bloke his medal. A medal only about 30 odd blokes have won since 1950

I am actually agreeing with that but making the point that if the club comes out and requests another medal for him it greatly reduces the impact of the gesture.

Has Peter Moore ever suggested he regretted flinging his runner-up medal into the crowd? Did he get it back? If not, who has it? Is it worth anything?

Still my greatest highlight from the 1981 Grand Final!

What Beveridge gave Murphy has nothing to do with a bit of 9ct gold attached to some ribbon, it was including him in the greatest moment in the history of the club.

Beveridge and Wood will be remembered forever as the men that led the Bulldogs to the promised land. Murphy missed out, but like Jerker Jenkin he'll always be a part of that special scene now.

You can't replace that or give it back.

Keep those rational thoughts out of this thread please they don't belong!

Kennelly admitted he didn’t want to seem like he was eating “sour grapes”, but said there were “some really tough decisions made in a really tight game”.

“I don’t think it was the overall difference between winning and losing the game,” Kennelly told Fox Sports News 500. “But it certainly contributed in a way that helped the Dogs win the game.”
