In one sense the Madrid final sums up in microcosm the whole history of federer V Nadal.

Federer 25 to 12 ahead in winners. Clearly the more talented stroke maker.
Nadal ahead 16 to 25 in unforceds. Clearly better at keeping the ball in play long enough to lure mistakes.

Nadal is huge fav at RG BUT BUT BUT if Federer can discipline himself to equal out the unforceds he will win in straight sets as he always would in a winners shoot out. That's the advantage being the most gifted player gives him.

Seriously mate, u need a better understanding of the game.Nadal FORCES federer into errors.His gameplan is built to make federer frustrated, pinning him down on the backhand side.Do you understand that?? in 20 meetings so far, federer has not been able to figure a way out of it.

You say if he limits himself to an equal number of U.Es he will win in straight? a stat for you.Wimbledon 2007. Nadal U.Es 37, Federer U.Es 46. Winners, Nadal 54, Federer 71.Take out the 21 aces federer hit and 7 aces nadal hit, they are more or less equal in terms of winner and U.Es. Result? nadal ALMOST beat federer if he didnt break down in the final set due to the knee injury.

But i guess logic means nothing to you Nadal in straight sets over federer and you will come here crying saying ohhh its the UEs again

I think GT has lost it completely.He abandoned the Fed bandwagon long ago, however see, as soon as fed starts winning he is back.That explains fed fans.Fed at his best even, has no chance against nadal at the F.O . To say he will win in straights if he plays like madrid is the most ridiculous statememt i have heard in my life.Maybe Richmond can win a premiership this year too if he win all the games from here on.Still a possibility
