Id like to see Australia, Australia A, and say an under 25 team, with Lehmann skipper and say... Bichel, Gillespie or Kasperwicz as an experienced bowler to help these guys out and push them in the right direction.

because gillespie is only 31 and performing well at state level.

also cosgrove as the 12th man, rofl the specialist fielder...probably better to let him have a bat then let somoene who moves faster than a steam tractor through mud come out to field for him, while he eats through the opposition innings.

Should not be a designated 12th man, it's unfair that they wouldn't get to play, just get some kids from the state being played in to sub field should they need 1.

The 12th man for normal side, should be selected in the 'A' side, and the 'A' side 12th man should be selected in the 'B' side, and the 'B' side 12th man, misses out

The only problem is that it would not bring enough money into the coffers, You'd get a few people in but not like the packed stadia (Ish) of this tournament, and Local tourism would struggle because they would not be accomodating the few thousand 'other' fans that come to the games.

Why not make it once every year or so, but mix the teams up a bit.

Sort of how India have India Red v. Blue v. Green, and I believe South Africa does something similar.

It allows some of the fringe players to prove themselves against international players.

BUt that's unfair to the 12th man, as someone said, Mitchell Johnson is too good to be 12th man, he should be in the 11 of at least the A side.

In a way it would be a good idea, but it won't happen, CA are too money hungry.

Australia definatly have enough depth to make it happen, but, as I said, it won't happen

No Birt, Bailey, Griffith, Wright or Paine in our first 3 sides? Interesting... I would have thought 2 or 3 of them would certainly get a gig...

That's what we should do:thumbsu:

We should have Gilly's team vs. Ricky's team vs. Huss's team. It goes kinda like selecting teams to play in PE, each player picks one player out of a squad of 30 then the next has a turn and then the next and it goes till the player pool is dry.

That concept have legs?

Except it would be a squad of 33 wouldn't it?

By the way, yes, it does have legs, but whos gonna tell Cricket Australia?

Should not have a squad to choose from, each player can pick from any player to have played Domestic Cricket this season. I would like to see some of the surprise selections from the respective skippers.

We all know that Punter's team would not include BJ Hodge

This is what I thought when I read the first post. At least that way, some Tasmanians might get a look in!

Lets get it started, Im Hussey...

Andrew Symonds :D
