Long time reader first time poster.

I wanted to know if you can access unavailable songs from Audiogalaxy.

Plus are there any other good programs available around. I tried morpheus but it had a virus.

There used to be a way around the 'blocking' process, but they've 'blocked' that too

I use Morpheus if i can't get the songs i want on Audiogalaxy.

I think we are talking about he same thing. It was posted in this forum about a month ago, you could change the address to get a blocked song. Was that the way that got blocked.

I use audiogalaxy as my main source of mp3's and aimster and morpheus as back ups in case the song I am searching for is blocked on audiogalaxy or the server is particularly slow.

Yeah ash...that's the way that is now blocked. Guess they caught on, and shut it down. Wasn't too harder way around the blocking process...but now that they've blocked it, i've had to use other means! :)

Possible solution to blockings

It's a bummer how on Audiogalaxy nowdays a lot of the popular artists are blocked and you can't use the old trick to get blocked artists. But, lately I discovered a technique has been fairly successful in locating shared files of blocked artists, that is typing the song title you're after and looking for the song title but where the band's name is misspelt, for example when looking for Island in the Sun by Weezer if the band's name is spelt Weezer, it will be blocked but if the band's name is spelt Wezeer it most probably won't be blocked.
Alternatively, deliberately mistyping the artist's name or song title you're after is fairly successful as well. I guess the audiogalaxy people go out under instruction and block all Incubus songs, for example, but they can't delete Incabas songs since Incabas is technically not Incubus !

It's worked for me lately, and it's worth a try. Never underestimate people's ability to mispell! ;) :)
