Yep Eddie's on the board of AA and has been for about 5 or 6 years. They need a CEO and chairman with vision and they need a sense of balance about things and get rid of the pettiness.

Eddie was on the board of our organisation soley for the purpose of the acquisition of Olympic Park for his football clubs own benefit. Quit the board the year the new Collingwood facility was built. And the AA board had their heads so far up their own arses that they let it happen because they thought it would be 'good' for the sport with the 'exposure' that Eddie would bring with his own media company, that charge AA a pretty packet for their Sunday morning slots on C9 and appalling coverage, where DC and the Jump Media team would do a damn sight better. Unfortunately, moving athletics down to Albert Park, in the middle of a wind belt and a long tram ride from the city has done nothing to boost interest - just see the attendance figures from the last couple of Zatopek Classics/Melbourne IAAF permit meets
