The next BJK Cup line-up could look quite different to what we're used to seeing
Hon ended up beating Jones in a third set tiebreaker. Still a good week for Jones and has a great chance to climb the rankings even more next week at the second Brisbane W75 event. I'd say it's fair to assume Jones will be introduced into the BJK Cup team at some point this year. I'd be picking Maya Joint as well - she just went through qualifying + won her first round at the Singapore W250 event and is about to overtake Gadecki as our number 2 ranked female player. She's also not far behind our number 1 female player Kim Birrell, who had a good week herself by making the Singapore QFs.

Joint and Jones well on their way to becoming our best female players and will likely both achieve it this year IMO.

Kyrgios is finished.

Hurt his wrist 30 minutes into his first open training session since the AO.

Bro is the next Dominic Thiem - probably even worse from the looks of things

Yep, looks done. A shame and a very sad way to finish. I find it hard to feel too sorry for him when he wasted all of his best years because he CGAF. What a career it could have been, such a promising start
It's a good lesson for any athlete (not that they'd be reading this), but you can't take your career for granted.

Never know when you will sustain a career altering injury, that will instantly massively reduce your ceiling as an athlete, and have you firing at a fraction of what you were before.

Seems like he finally took his career seriously, and was going to potentially do his talent some justice, but now he can't.

It's like the typical Greek tragedy (which is also ironic)
