Australia Number One! Anyone who didn't stay up to 4 am just missed one of the most intense finishes I have seen to a basketball game.

What happened at the 3.9 second mark. I only just watched the highlights. Looked like we were taking free throws for an intentional foul and then it swapped to China taking FT with 3.9 second left and possession.

Game looked absolutely sick!

The ref's adjudged Cooks to have committed an unsportsmanlike foul on the Chinese player fouling him to send him to the line. It was a bullshit call to give China a chance to steal it at the end.

Cooks played a blinder in the final, China couldn't stop him. But he was his own worst enemy missing free throws, it should have never been that close.

Cotton as good as he's been is not in our best squad.
Depends on team balance and fit

We have plenty of athletes but not many like him.

I could envisage him finding a spot as a sparkplug scorer at the end of the bench. Like Goulding in the last few major tournaments.

Yeah fair point. Versatility of most of the others guys helps too.

Giddey finally re-signs with the Bulls.

Easy to say could have held out for more, but that's generational wealth, and will be a free agent again in his prime at 26 when could be making massive money.

Got them bumped up from 4 for $80m as well
