I'm not particularly surprised that Bouchard's struggling after her first taste of being near/at the top, this is a fairly standard occurrence for players who have a steady rise to becoming a star player - and something that is (or might be) affecting Halep right now. Having said that, Bouchard's steep ranking drop over the past year or so is somewhat worrying. She does have time on her side however.

I see Wozniacki's case a bit differently, I don't see her ever again becoming a consistent fixture in the top 10 like Bouchard in the future. Too limited, and trying to change her game seems to exacerbate her problems.

I really don't get the lack of professionalism in sport commentary/journalism and this is the worst example of it in my opinion. You know what players will be playing, so surely you give their names a quick two minute Google before you go on air? Or better yet, just ask the freaking player? It's the same in footy too, but obviously the names aren't quite as diverse. It's just frustrating.
Let's not discuss footy commentators getting names wrong ... we'll be here all night.

Gavrilova's doing everything right - and credit for her to moving on after that debacle of a service game where she hit 3 double faults in a row. She's doing a lot of things right in countering Kvitova.

The fanatics can piss the hell off with their tired range of 3 different chants though.

Kvitova's been thrown off her game - partly due to Gavrilova's intensity. But then Kvitova could easily just throw in a breadstick in 20 minutes if it clicks for her.
