Pet hate of mine, even Christianity if you study it you find out the brother of Jesus (James, head of the Jerusalem church) considered Paul (founder of Christianity) as the father of lies for calling his brother the son of god.. in other words the people that actually knew Jesus considered him a normal man and some wandering lunatic who never met Jesus has a vision and sells him to the romans as a divine deity and builds the biggest religion in the world on a pack of lies... ridiculous

Are you serious? No doubt he's a good bloke, but he struggled in front of the camera. No doubt since The Footy Show has "adopted" him, he'll get the media training he needs. You might even see him on the panel in a year or two Bomber fans!

I actually thought he handled himself well for such a young man. Nerves showed but he stayed relatively composed and spoke well. Has an obvious dedication for his religion which will no doubt show out in his football and hopefully his time to shine is soon.

compared to gobs, hansen et al its like he had been public speaking for years... i dont think struggled is the right word... i thought he was very good for his first time. obviously he had nerves but he spoke well

Normally I like Gary Lyon,but last night he gave me the sh0ts when interviewing young Bachar.

Instead of asking what junior club he played for and just sticking to stories about his path to the AFL through the TAC cup,his first question was something along the lines of..... "How does being a Muslim effect your footy career?"

Followed by 10 more questions (With Garry using his sensitive,fake concerned look) about how it feels to be a Muslim in the AFL.

Nothin about his footy idols as a kid or questions about his supreme fitness for a kid his age.
Nothing about what it feels like to train with Hird,JJ and the rest of the superstars of Essendon.

Lyon,you are nothing more than an Eddie clone. Getting all excited about a Footy Show "exclusive",coming over all lovey-dovey cause its Bachar's first tv interview and claiming Houli as "their own"......which means they will get him back soon to ask more questions about his Muslim faith....

Bachar handled it well...he's only 18 remember.....and seems to be a very commited young footballer. EFC material.

Religion isn't the thing thats going to help the team win you games. It does bring discipline but certainly wont affect his game.
