One thing was clear on the weekend against the saints we really lack a good back pocket player.This season the forward pocket players form the other sides have been killing us.On the weekend it was steven milne.He kicked 5 and set up a few more.This year we have tried taylor,banfield,humm who are all to slow to play on quick forward pocket players and have been exposed for there lack of pace.In the last term against the saints kerr played there and done well on milne .But I think he would be wasted there and we need him in the midfield.In the old days a forward pocket player would never kick 5 goal against us.

yup. definatly our biggest weakness at the moment. havy read, prior and morrison out has hurt us.

Once we get Prior back it will be better and next year with reid and Morrison we will be fine!!!It'll give us time to train a few young boys in that position!
On Prior, I don't remember much about him playing last year, but how good are his defensive skills?
We are really missing Read at the moment but I would hardly use Morrison in the back pocket. He is much more a rebounding CHB.
On Humm, he didn't play on Milne on the weekend did he? It was Collica and then Kerr wasn't it? I still reckon Humm will make a good back pocket in the future but he needs time.

I see Prior as more of a 'McKenna' type player, very cool under pressure and useful for kick in's.
I'd like to see him back soon, his presence there will add a bit of class to the backline

I agree with Vis...Humm is the answer but he is still very young he needs time. Really though we are set at that position with Read, we just need him back thats all. Morrison and Prior are more HB flankers.

Missing Ready big time here. Humm has all the attributes, but does need a lot more time. He has played only a handful of games now and needs to develop a lot more in mind and body.
Losing Read was a big blow to us this season. Prior would be good for the kick ins in my opinion. Just hope he is on the ground again soon.....
