Seriously my sis and I were there ready for a party because after all the Pies had absolutely DESTROYED the Blues in the H&A's and a final. There was no reason to believe they could get anywhere near us on revealed form. Then Barassi had his one and only genuine original thought and they run us off our feet We left the G after the final siren with our tails dragging on the ground and our ears shut tight to the filth bragging. NEVER since have I been sanguine about our chances in ANY game, let alone a final until the result was TOTALLY beyond doubt.

result next week definitely means nothing for ladder positions
unless hawks win by 100 and we win by 100, then geelong drop to 3rd

It's not actually that much because Hawthorn's against points are less than Geelong's. But it really doesn't matter, they'll play each other week 1 of the finals at the MCG.
