Somewhat same time of the season, same place, same ****ed position, same angst, same mostly everything cept, the dockers are travelling better.
But is this the game last year, that ignited the reinvention of the tigers that lasted about 4 weeks.

Interesting to see if history repeats itself. ;)

... The 8 games after round 1 this year have all been about "re-ignition" if i`m not mistaken .

The only way this club will even remotely get close to re-ignition is to move the coach on but that aint gonna happen till the football dept revue has been completed ...

What a joke

I would say the only way the boys will fire up is if they have been told internally that its Ploughs last ... and even then if that was the case i`m sure someone would have leaked it

You saw the difference last year dude. I am convinced that someone else was pulling the strings for those weeks. Totally different game plan, totally different attack on the ball.
Whoever it was i dont know. But if they come out and play that kind of footy this week, it will verify to me that under the covers, last week was TW's last and this week is someone elses 6th.
To sum it all up, theory #275834e-980 suggests, players saw first hand that they played better footy under someone else. We couldnt pull the wool from under TW's feet. The players come out this year and want whoever to take over and all of a sudden "stage fright", like FFS, hits them and they are playing like a bunch of muppets.
Stay tuned, i can guarantee ya, if we dont go the tank, after TW is moved on, the intensity and brand of footy we play after his depature will be like chalk and cheese to what has unfolded up until now.
Get with the program dude...to much has been reported, leaked, said, refuted, etc etc, to suggest that this group want to play for TW.
His wants in game plan and style is making the list look shit and they themselves have careers to worry about. ;)

If the club genuinely wanted to get anything out of this year they should have sacked plough after round 1 ... round 4 at the extreme latest .

Leaving him the chair as long as they have has been the greatest TANK in the history of TANKING .

Full stop .

If they come out all guns blazing and breathing fire after ploughs inevitable demise and win a few dead rubbers at the back end of the season then we are stupider than i could have ever imagined ...

Groundhog Day;)

A silly as it sounds, if we play aggressive and succesful footy on Saturday, I will be mighty pissed.

When you think about it we are the biggest chokers going. Crap management and player development notwithstanding.

In the season where we carved up at the start (Browny's year), we fall in a heap and fail to qualify for finals. 7-2 to Nothing  Conversely we finished a year full of steam last year, only to peter out by quarter time of Rd 1 of this year. All of the other years have been nothing years.

Your good sides play well week in, week out & perhaps put in one stinker every 10 - 15 rounds if they don't turn up fully switched on...

The Mighty Tigers on the other hand play sulphuric acid footy for 10 - 15 weeks and only "get fired up" once or twice a season when they are 'really under the pump"!

WTF? I really hate how we turn it on and off like some footy chameleon.

Its not that unpredictable Roachy ... in fact you could set your watch to it .

Whenever there is genuine pressure ... pressure to perform on the big stage .. whenever the game actually has a bearing on something , match of the round status etc. .... when we can make some inroads ... when we play for sheep stations ...we fold up like a deck of cards .... every time

When they are dead rubbers ... when it`s the back end of the season and we are playing also rans the same as us .. teams experimenting and playing kids we win those ones :thumbsu:... getting into the last 2-3 rounds .. we play a team in the finals , sometimes we catch them off guard as they are focusing elsewhere :thumbsu:

These are the games we win ...

It wasn't Lee Harvey Oswald?

You were coaching California.

The tin foil wine cask holding hat you drag out on matchday was transmitting your thoughts directly to the players and after they passed through a satellite translator, they actually understood what you were talking about.

OR...one of Royal, King or whoever that bloke who couldn't string a sentence together to save himself and got sacked with zero public mention of it was, projected a hologram of the entire team into a fake dressing room while they gave the REAL address and tactics elsewhere, then unplugged Wallace's microphone and snuck out the back of the box to pass on the REAL instructions, and projected another hologram of the entire Subiaco oval into a Woolworths carpark where Wallace thought he was at the game giving REAL quarter and three quarter time addresses. When he thought he was hugging players after the game, he was actually hugging startled grannies.

OR...enough players stuck to the straightforward Wallace gameplan of moving the ball quickly and winning contested situations, played as a team, worked for their teammates, ran hard enough of the game, and we smashed them.

I'll leave you to work out which was the more plausible option.

OR... Richmond were playing FREMANTLE.... who may have;)... been already in a race to beat WCE to 15th/ 2nd draft pick ????

But option A & B are more believeable than C !:D

Come on Cogga - which was it?
a) we couldn't pull THE RUG from under TW's feet or
b) we couldn't pull the wool OVER TW'S EYES.
That new saying is a ripper though.

People are imagining that we have had different game plans. The big change was moving Richo out of the goal square. This meant the next FF wouldn't have 3 opponents and there was much less chance to flood our forward line. Our game plan hasn't changed under Terry over his time. It's always been play on quickly and move the ball forward through the corridor or wings. But when you get injuries and have to play people like Raines or King in defence then the movement is slowed down because these 2 players aren't good decision makers, so they wait a minute then kick it. But they usually go sideways because they are too slow or too scared to kick it long because they might turn it over. This is not our game plan. I've been saying all along it's the duds on the list getting games because of injuries. This is why we have had a bad year

Actually Raines tends to play on and run straight into an opponent rather than "wait a minute."

when are people going to actually understand that the games we won at the end of last year was against teams that were not interested in winning. And that this is about to re-occur this year.

My god we are a basketcase:thumbsd:

My god we are a basketcase:thumbsd:

thats a given, but i am focusing purely on the 3 games subsequent to the dropping of Bowden & Pettifer. We smashed Freo, and we gifted the next 2 to the dogs and the aints. It was all about the quality of footy in those games. The rest were pure theatre and spin for TW to lick tigerheads arses. Its so obvious when you look at the swans, carlton and crows games. These were crunch games and what do we do? what we do best, lay down and spread our cheeks and who was there? yep Bowden & Pettifer to offer the experience that was the excuse for gifting the 2 games to the dogs and aints. TW has NFI and if not he is a pure BS artist playing with the tigerheads. They are the only 2 options. ;)

had to bump this.....the third quarter was a mirror image of the intensity in the game last year.
IMO, there was a very important stat that slips under the radar from this weeks match....its all to do with who has to get it for things to change and who has been getting it, when things werent changing....;)
