amazing how things change after a loss.

cheers!

The Zimbaweans will be suprised as well, considering it was the game in Kenya they (NZ) were going to forfeit. ;)

After the results in their group, I don't think New Zealand can afford to forfeit their match to Kenya and still play in the Super Six stage.

With the West Indies and Sri Lanka winning, they should both end up on a minimum of 4 wins each, assuming they both beat Kenya, Canada and Bangladesh which seems likely.

South Africa should win at least 3 games... against Kenya, Canada and Bangladesh. They also have the wood on the Kiwis in one-day matches and recently beat Sri Lanka 4-1 in a series in South Africa, so they could quite easily win 4 or 5 matches.

New Zealand should beat Canada and Bangladesh, but if they forfeit the Kenya game, they'd most likely need to beat both South Africa and the West Indies to have a chance of making the Super Six. If they win the Kenya game, they'd only need to find one more win, possibly against the West Indies. I wouldn't like their chances of beating the Proteas, especially over there.

It's going to be interesting.... the so called easy group of the two!!
