Nothing beats flopping a set on the button and having someone lead into you with a pot-size bet. Didn't think he was very strong, but knew he at least had an ace. Was able to let him hang himself.

EDIT: And I just lost half my stack with AA to a donkey shoving a 60bb stack w/ 1010 Pre-flop and spiking a 10 on the turn

Have made a couple of deep runs today, but no FT. Best result was when I got eliminated in 13th in my last tournament when Ace got cracked by opponent rivering a 2-outer 10 to make a set to knock me out, which was pretty brutal (not a big tournament - only 350 odd entries).

AA v 1010, pre-flop.

That moment when you flop two pair after only playing junk from the BB because your priced in and the action is closed off. Helps that the bounty if you win the hand is half of your entry fee into the tournament :D
 
Busted in 24th place of another turbo event, 3700 entries.

Not much I could do about it in the end. Ran 1010 into KK. Guy raised from the cut-off, had a decent pair in the sb with 10BB stack left so I pushed. Got no help on flop,turn or river and busted.

Do you guys think I've made the right fold here?

My read on him was that he made a tricky check on the turn and at the bare minimum he's shoving with a Jack there, so I'm chopping at best. He could easily have a boat or AJ.

I hate folding there but I can't see what I'm beating and I'm only calling for a chop.

You will never know!
But definitely a hard one.
I'm no professional to say if right or wrong.
But I think i'm calling and then seeing the bad news.
I have that same gut feel a fair bit but some times can't find the fold button.

Right decision in my eyes the more I think about it, leaves you with still 40 plus BB. instead of 10. Live to fight another day.
 
It would be a fairly advanced play for him to turn his hand into a bluff here (probably only one combo he could do that with, 9 10 or 8 9 maybe), the only hand you are hoping he has is KQ or AQ but they probably c/c river.

So all the FH combos beat you plus you don't have the nut str8, and all of the str8 combos your are chopping with are blocked by both your hand and the board (QJ, J10 etc). The only thing you really beat are just rando bluffs. Isa fold river.

Somebody shoot me. Just busted out of a zoom tournament. ****ing frustrating tournament. Couldn't get anything going and all my big hands got cracked.

KK cracked by KQ, all in pre-flop for about 30 BB.

On the plus side. I saw this fish at my table a couple of times. I think his name was evolved23 or something :p

Unlucky. I daresay he's probably made the correct call though there from your button shove, as generally you'd be shoving a very wide range of hands on the two short-stacks there.

I have no problem with the call at all. I would call there too. Unlucky at a s**t time. FT woulda been nice! :)

Let him hang himself =) In case you haven't gathered my poker style from all the hands I've posted, I let my opponents hang themselves a lot. I find it effective, especially with how aggressive everybody is nowadays.

**** me got it all in on the flop with an openended straight royal flush draw. 15 ****ing outs twice and it double bricks

I hate committing my stack with draws, but he made a bet of half my stack on flop.
