Interested to hear some of your bad gaming habits, things that you do either in game or related to gaming that are of little to no benefit but are damn hard to break out of.

Common ones for me:

- To start 4 or 5 different games at one time and struggle to finish any of them, usually because I've started something else that's come out or find it hard to get back into if I've already played a part of it before (God of War Ascension is so much this right now)

- Constant reloading in fps games after killing 1 person regardless of how many rounds left. One I'd expect would be fairly common amongst us and one that always ends in me still in the reloading animation whilst someone shoots me in the face. (not so bad in Battlefield but its really annoying in CoD)

- Buying accessories that i either use once or twice or don't use at all. This one i thought of the other day when i was playing Mortal Kombat, still using the controller despite buying an arcade stick 2 years ago specifically for this very game (before it was banned here). Other things include Move controllers (and the move nunchuck that ive never used, still in packaging), Donkey Kong Bongos for Gamecube, Dreamcast Keyboard, Dreamcast Fishing rod, GT5 Logitech wheel which I've used 3 times at most and 2 of those were on Daytona and not GT5 and the multitude of Wii remote attachments i still have lying around.

So what are your bad gaming related habits? inb4 yearly CoD purchases :p

Mash 'x' during replays in fighting/sport games. If I had a dollar for every time I've taken an awesome mark in AFL, mashed 'x' and ended up kicking it to the opposition I'd be rich.

Buying any games at all when my backlog's been miles long since I was about 5 years old.

This x100 and Steam has made it worse when you buy bundles and packs of games and really only play one or two. I've got 285 games on Steam and I would have maybe played about 30% if I'm lucky.

Reloading after each kill is not a bad habit, its good practice!

except when you are in the near vicinity of about 3 enemies, kill one, then insta reload by habit and get shot by the other 2 bastards

the amount of times i have gotten myself killed because of this -- gggrrrrrr

Not remembering that I'm playing Battlefield and dropping people like it's COD.

Your mind thinks they are dead only to go "****" wrong game.

I also reload far too often.

Buying games on Steam despite playing games on Steam for about .5% of my gaming time in the last number of years...

I buy games which I'd love to play but never or barely end up playing them.

Current pile of games includes GOW Ascension, NFS Most Wanted, RDR< GTAIV Complete & Transformers all in their shrink wrap and Ni No Kuni & Tomb Raider barely played.

Uni & work has been hectic and I'm hoping to go nuts during holidays.

This. This. This.

Steam collection (my primary account not my secondary account that my girlfriend "stole" with over 200 games on it):

Games: 537 (Items: 834)
Games actually Played: 64 (one I loaded but didn't play, so 63)
Games played more than 1 hour: 20

I have about 300+ non-Steam games which I really haven't touched either.

Then I have 360, PS3 and other system games laying all over the place. I bought GoW: Ascension and SC2 expansion pack (Collector Ed.) preorders and neither have been touched.

Buying games on Steam, and then never playing them. Summer and Winter Steam Sales are the worst.

One of my biggest issues is the Indy / Humble bundles -- half a dozen games for under $10 with money going to develop new games AND charity? I'm in on that like a pig on shit.

I am guilty of buying accessories that i never use - Guitar Hero guitars, Full Rock Band kit and Logitech Wireless Guitar have not been used in almost 3 years now. I should move the Rock Band kit out of my bedroom since i barely use it and it blocks my path to my bed. I also have a fight stick that i purchased when SF IV came out..... i use it once a year if i can be bothered pulling it out.

I have 450+ Xbox 360 games (close to 500 counting downloadable titles). I would say about 250-300 are unfinished in terms of not finishing the storyline in a game..... 400+ "unfinished" in terms of all achievements unlocked. Have about 100 games that are still sealed, dating back from 2007 - onwards.

As with others i am guilty of having a bit Steam collection, but the majority of games are unfinished. The majority have never been installed.

Oh yeah, I also used to throw my controller until I managed to put it through a wall. I don't do that anymore.
My mate punched a hole in his wall due to FIFA lol.
