I was at the SCG last night and Geelong were very stiff to lose.
In the 2nd and 3rd quarters, Sydney played as badly as any side I've seen this season. The Geelong defence was fantastic and Matty Scarlett gave Barry Hall an absolute bath.
I thought the Swans were gone after Geelong kicked the first goal of the last term. The fair-weather Swans supporters around me (the kind who think Goodes and O'Loughlin are the same player) were getting dirty and talking about how much better Rugby League is.
I don't know how the hell Sydney found a way to win that, but I certainly felt for the Geelong supporters at the game who had watched their team beat the Swans at their own game for three quarters.
It would have been an inspirational win for the Cats, but in the end, they were desperately unlucky to be behind when the bell rang.
Bad luck. Keep your chins up.
