These guys just keep getting better.

IMO they're one of the most exciting electronic acts Australia has had in a number of years. Their Muscles Remix is insane, and Fun Punch is probably my favourite Australian song of the last year, at least.

Any other fans? Spewin' I'm not going to good vibes to see them, anyone know if they're doing any other sets whilst they're in Melbourne?

The Aston Shuffle out of Canberra are going great guns at the moment too. Good to see that even though the majority of Aussie music blows chunks, at least we're taken care of in the electro scene.
 
About time the bag raiders got their own thread. The Fun Punch EP was an absolute monster. Everyone knows Fun Punch and how good that is but to be honest i was just as impressed by The Punch and Nil By Mouth. They have now got a remix 12" out which i have been lucky enough to get my hands on. Whitenoise and ZZZ remix fun punch (whitenoise ftw, still prefer the original) while i'm sure divado would be loving the knightlife remix nil by mouth which imo is better than the original.

Bag Raiders have also done some great remixes in the past 12 months for the likes of Juggernauts, Sneaky Sound System, KIM, Muscles and Kid Sister as well well as the beautiful blend (that sounds gay doesn't it) of the punch and soulja boy.

Hope to see some more good work from Gus, Chris and Jack in 2008.

That muscles remix is awesome - but I can't find it for download anywhere.

Whitenoise remix of fun punch is pretty awesome - prefer the original though.

Anyone else think the Sydney Electro scene is about to supplant Melbourne as number one? They have a lot of good artists all dropping awesome stuff, and then they all go and remix each other - seems like a cool little community they have going.
 
Melbourne's electro scene is shit. John Course (today), Kaz james, Grant Smilie, Derek k, mark james, andy murphy are the biggest shitkhunts going around.

haha I'm inclined to agree with the way Sydney has been dominating lately.
 
Sydney's electro scene is very good. But Melbourne has the Juggers and Cut Copy, Muscles and Knightlife. Bring on the hate. And yeah the Nil by mouth remix and original are brilliant.

Muscles is junk. Icecream was fun when it first came out, then he releases another 10 songs with the same overlapping vocals and lame, lame synths. Not to mention he will not move away from the teenybop lyrics.

He doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as the Juggers.

Melbourne has Juggers and Cut Copy, but really there is no depth. Sydney's the go.
 
Infusion should really get a mention when talking about melbournes live electro scene. They are a great band and have been for a fair while now. Caught Gameboy/Gamegirl last night at calvin harris and they were pretty sweet too.

I think when talking about live electro bands melbourne shits all over the rest of australia.
