I hate Christmas.

I'm not religious so it isn't of that sort of significance to me.

And I don't need a calendar to tell me what days I have to be nice to people.

So for all you other Xmas haters, and I'm sure there's a few of you out there, this thread is a perfect opportunity to spread a bit of ill-feeling and bad vibes.

And another thing...

go and get stuffed. :D

Touche Darky!

I ****ing hate it! I can't wait until its over. Utter load of comercialised ****. If anyone works in the retail industry they'll know what I mean people get ruder and if I see anyone that has ever recorded a xmas album, I will smack them across the head!

CHRISTMAS SUCKS!

Well, I don't like the commercialism of christmas, but then again, it's the only time where I get to see my relatives all in the one place, and when I get to go around to look at all the Christmas lights with my two young cousins from Rushworth, the wonder in thier eyes when they see the displays really melts my heart.

And thier enthusiasm and lack of cynicism about this time (that some of you have in droves) more than compensates for the bad things about this season.

Cynics know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

I don't like how Christmas is commercialised, but considering we do have religious beliefs in my family, we sort of have to celebrate it.

We go to church once a year - on Christmas eve - and besides from that, it's great to see the family the next day. In our family it makes everyone in a good mood and it's great seeing the adults on Boxing Day trying to recover from their hangovers ;)

Apart from the presents, and the fact that I can eat chocolate for breakfast in front of Mum, and get away with it, Christmas day is no different to any other day for me. I would like my presents now, but Mum won't give them to me. We have nothing to do with any of our family members, so like I said, it is just a typical day for me.

I will be at work with my Mum, unless the brother decides he would like to be with her on the day.

Same Day, Except more fighting..... **** Xmas **** day.

Get my money and cricket 2002 and globes shoes then go out with friends and getting smashed at a party or something. Who cares about Xmas?

Well, i don't hate christmas, but it doesn't mean anything to me at the moment.
It used to be the best day of the year, when I went to perth and my WHOLE family from my dads side got together. It was great, i had a ball with all my cousins, got HEAPS of presents, and got to see my grandma.
Since my grandma died, the whole christmas day lunch has stopped, and now I just stay at home, and it is exactly like a normal day, except church in the morning, so it feels like a sunday(as I go to church each wek)

So yeah, i look forward to future years when hopefully my family gets together each christmas, like it was when i was younger

Wow...same thing in my family. Since my gran passed away :( Christmas has seemed to stop....i have a couple of friends who have a daughter and another on the way that say Christmas gets reinvented when you have children because you are seeing through them. And its true, xmas is the best when your young.

I like Xmas except for one thing, TV sucks over this period.

I have just had a look at the what's on the next 3 days & there is hardly anything on except, every sitcom Xmas special ever made, Miracle on 34th Street, National Lampoons Xmas vacation, I am even sick of this movie after the millionth time and Carols by Candlelight, come on people we know it is Xmas, can't you find something new & interesting over this period. :(

well we just have xmas with one side of our family these days, plus these days we dont even cook, prefering to go out for xmas lunch with mums side of the family
last couple of years though i havent really been in the mood for it especially seeing as i usually work xmas eve when its flat out busy and dealing with grumpy customers doesnt help:(
so usually i sleep in for hours, and say hi sometime in the afternoon

I'd get a video of this year's Grand Final and just watch that over and over and over again. :D

No I am spending Xmas in Perth this year. :D

OH well at least there is bigfooty, bring on New Years Eve.

OH & Ripper, you know what you can do with your suggestion. :p

I meant that in terms of people like Rohan and Frodo, I think that you do appreciate the value of things Alf, I meant that in terms of right wing bastards rather than left wing tree huggers:D

Well, I'm glad we cleared up that little misunderstanding, Wayde.

Well ... I hope you have a happy tree-hugging Christmas, comrade ... but I would advise you strongly against hugging a Christmas tree ... They're a bit too prickly. Hug your two cousins from Rushworth instead.
