Great coaching move today.

Bennell was quiet up forward and was good down back. He stuck to his opponent and competed well, running the ball out well a couple of times. He won a one on one that led to the sealing Jurrah goal late.

Bail was probably only average down back then really provided us with a spark up forward. As well as putting on good pressure and providing a target he had some fantastic plays in the last quarter. The spin out of traffic and kick to Watts got us back in front, and then the tackle on Martin (who is damn hard to tackle) to release the ball which led to the Jamar goal was equally impressive.

Not being competitive in games over the last couple of years has cost us getting to see what tactics Bailey & co can come up with to win games. To suggest this move won us the game is a bit over the top, but it certainly worked and would like to see it more often. I'm not sure which positions Bennell and Bail will end up in long term but its nice to have guys who can be moved around.

The blind turn out of the pack and pass to Wattsy in the goal square was very impressive. Bennell cool head and attack on the ball in defence also good.

Inspired move, should've been made a while ago IMO. Bennell looks more comforatble down back i reckon, and did some sublime things (1. weaving through large pack, 2. winning 1-on-1 against White [?] )
Bail is the everywhere man, but i like him up forward. Especially when Grimes/Morton/Strauss are in the team.

Well picked up.

Bennell is proving to be a genuine swing-player, and is probably a little better than Bail in traffic whilst get Rohan out on the wings and he'll spot up a player every time.

Be interesting to see where Bennell goes next week.

Bennell can provide good run out of defence but I wouldn't back him to stop a good small forward. Bail was the much better player of the two today imo.

From day 1 Bennell has been fantastic at getting the ball, he just needs to know how to use it, and get it when under pressure :-/

That was absolutely magnificent, had a perfect view of it!

But I really like Bail's reliable kicking out of defence and Bennell's run on the wing/HFF. So it worked well today, but isn't a move that I would permanently endorse.

Bennell works hard as a forward flanker which i really admire about him, its often him putting in the effort to take a strong mark on the wing for that next kick out of defence. Hes definatley a keeper, it was a good move today agreed but i dont think Bennell is accountable enough to permenantly play a defensive role. I think moving him forward after last year has been an inspired choice by Bailey, though he may cost his mate Neville a spot in future years
