Team Captain
Thought I'd share this in case some of you haven't read it.
Mate of mine picked up the book 'The Draft' by Emma Quayle and I was having a brief flick through it over the weekend. One section in particular caught my eye - the interviews at the end of the draft camp. So much for the generic "How do you think you'll go playing away from home?" etc, Bailey put these pearlers to the kids, and he hadn't even coached us yet!
First he asked Ben McEvoy, 'How would you go about playing on Dean Cox?' As if that's not enough, his next question was, 'Ok, you've beaten him to the tap, what do you do next?'
Trent Cotchin got much of the same: 'How would you go about stopping Gary Ablett Jnr?' and then, interestingly, 'Why do you think you'd be a better captain than Jack Grimes?'
Talk about a way of targetting those with footy smarts...certainly got the feeling that none of the boys liked facing up to him!
