I couldn’t be prouder that Bailey is now at Geelong. To see him come out and openly talk about the challenges he’s faced is truly inspirational. It’s a reminder that we all have our own battles, and the strength he has shown deserves so much respect.

No matter what he does in the future, he has already given us more than enough — both on and off the field. I’m also incredibly proud of the club for creating such a supportive environment where players can thrive as people as well as athletes.

Yeah it really goes to show how good Geelong are at providing the environment for players to thrive.

Makes you wonder how the careers of other "problem children" of the AFL might have worked out if they'd ended up at Geelong.

Between Bailey and the Mitch Brown stuff there's been some great progress in the league this week

You could see the concern on Scotty's face as [PLAYERCARD]Bailey Smith[/PLAYERCARD] spoke hoping that he would get through it all ok.

Scotty would have known about all this previously and it shows why he is so strong defending Baz in the media.

Shows what a great environment there is at the club.

It’s been really good with how open he has been about his mental health and addiction battles , and with suffering mine own mental health battle over the years it’s good to have that public attention on these issues

A real credit to Bailey and the club’s culture in their support in allowing him to be himself and not something else as he was at the bulldogs

Absolutely. And for someone who avoids public speaking, he handled a confronting situation so well.
