Bailey

I like all demons fans here am pissed of and disappointed in our last 3 efforts. I think Bailey will be starting to feel the pressure but i don't think we should be calling for his head as yet, if this is happenign round 13 next year than yes his spot will be imediately under pressure.

The one thing that annoys me is why he continues to play a man behind the play. That lose man has no affect on the contest infront or behind him, it leaves our forwards continually on a 2 on 1 contest. The forward line struggles enough with the delivery little own having to beat two players at once.

All i want to see is us take the game, play a game style that will win us a premiership and for gods sake play one on one all over the ground.

The only reason i am doubting his ability is he is setting up our team out there to steam the bleeding rather than try to win. Too many players behind the ball, so when we do actually move forward he have a 5 on 2 situation up forward with no tall targets. There is no way this plan can work. Even with buddy and roughhead up there we would struggle.

You are spot on Pipefitter, I mentioned exactly the same point in another post (key position forward)...

I know we can all see the problem & there are potential solutions to solve it...

After this coming week I think you will see some changes to the plan. Baill's will have delivered the main item on the teams agenda for the year.... picks 1 & 2......

I want him to take the view that our side is capable of winning each match, and implement a game plan that will enable us to do so. At the moment, as Pipefitter noted, he seems to be playing in a way which will lessen the hurt. This is one of the reasons why we cannot kick more than two goals in a half.

As a developing team, we should play with an attacking gameplan that will be used in the future. There is nothing to lose from doing this.

Dean, implement an aggressive, free-flowing gameplan that may help us to win a premiership in the future, not one that will prevent the opposition from kicking 28 goals instead of 26. Implement a plan that will enable us to do some damage on the scoreboard, not one that will prevent the other team from doing so.

I also dont like him blaming skills, rebuilding, youth blah blah blah. Why doesnt he take some accountability on a gameplan that is just doomed.

I personally like the fact he is trying to teach the kids defensive skills (all the top teams acquired these skills 1st), but there has to be a balance.

There was an article somewhere last week that showed the fact that no premier for a long period of time has conceded more than 90 points a game. All teams are striving to get below this figure as the base for their premiership tilt.

We have a way to go.......

The gameplan hasn't been at fault in those games when we've been executing it more effectively has it? (most games this year except for the last three, and even periods within those games too).

Since when do the failings of our current squad somehow mean our gameplan is "doomed"

PS- I guess my patience comes in a large measure because I'm a Fitzroy man as well, so patience is in my DNA. Hopefully none of you will experience what it's like when a team REALLY hits bottom...
