hey guys read the paper this morning and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Luke ball has had his surgery by the same doctor that judd had and he has said it feels good rarely feels pain and started running two weeks ago and he isn't pushing it he is slowly lifting his intencity as he goes and is being watched closely by our new medicos with mission helping him along. he isn't fullly healed it could flare up but we have one of the top fittness doctor in mission so all is well :) bally is a legend

Yep, you can read the article here. I want it all to be true, but as he himself says in the article, we've kinda all heard it before: "It feels great, I'm recovering nicely, I'll be right by next week... etc." Just hope Mission's as good as I think he is.

It's the exact same thing we've heard the last two times. I realy hope Ball can reach his huge potential, but I just don't think his body will let him. His fitness, kicking, pace and agility have gone way, way down and if there was a simple solution like this then he would have had it done at the end of 2005.

He still has all of his abilities. Remember the game where he had 30 touches and 3 goals and he played awesome. If he gets fully fit, he could do that every week. I still have faith in his ability.

Dude, that's kinda the point, isn't it? We all know he's got incredible ability, but the question being raised by me and MSG is whether he can get fit. If he's not fully fit and just stumbling along on one leg, then practically speaking, he's an okayish midfielder with the occasional great game. In other words, he's Fiora. That's what he's been the last two years.

Don't get me wrong, I would still pick him every day of the week and twice on Sundays. But the "If he gets fully fit he'll be great" line is wearing thin, because he ain't getting fully fit. I just hope, somehow, this time it's different. So my question to anybody who knows is, is this time different, or is it just the same ol' drivel we've heard about not only Ball, but Hamill, Xav, Raph, Kosi, and Gardiner over extended periods of time?
