Ban pockets from whites

You have 12th men seemingly on the ground every other over nowadays for gloves, extra drinks, etc. If anything is required by players in the field that would be needed semi-regularly (lip balm, sunscreen, sunglasses etc) then surely the 12th/13th men could carry this out?

You could even have some rules in place as far as having pre-approved items to be brought on the ground that would need to be declared before the match or at least the day's play. This part would definitely be open for discussion to work out a suitable solution.

But again, should pockets be banned to remove some of the doubt from what players are doing, as many players across the world through the decades have proven that they simply can't be trusted.

I'm going on the premise that it's already a widespread practice that's occurred for far too long, so if there are steps to be taken that could reduce the number of instances it occurs, why not look at it?

I agree with you though, a much harsher penalty ought to be introduced for it.

Outside of us what major teams would accept the bans?

Teams like India would just cancel that tour and any future tours until the ban is rescinded, we all bitch about the icc but the truth is they only have as much power as the big teams allow them and what they allow them is almost no real power.
