Yes, he has a knee injury. Problem is he is at his best when mobile. He is not suited to FF or FP so if he is not right he will look ordinary. Rohde has a tough decision to make this week but remember Melbourne are not overly tall at the moment.
Skipper looked the goods on Saturday, maybe it is time for him to debut.

yes he was injured he got hit in the ribs early on in a marking contest and couldnt breathe for a few minutes so i guess that knocked him about

If Bandys injured I think it would make sense to bring in Skip he deserves go after playing well for weribee last week.And Crossy deserves a game to.

Putting aside our lack of tall forwards for the moment, should Bandy be playing at CHB?

When he was recruited, I recall the club saying that he would play back.

With the loss of Grant, perhaps this issue should be revisted.

I dont think his disposal is good enough to hold down such an important key position, and while not bad below his knees for someone his height, not really good enough for CHB.

Darren Gaspar is on big bucks and his disposal is terrible.
However I still think Bandy is a forward/part time ruckman and not a backman.

Yep.

I wanted him to take Richo but Rhode wouldn't listen.

Melbourne don't have a big CHF though so perhaps not this week.

Played well in round one so its not panic stations.Doubt he will leave the side at any stage unless he is seriously injured.

Bandy is our only tall guy capable of having an influence up forward, we can't afford for him to go down back. We have far more talls who are capable backmen then we do forwards. Bowden and Wiggo are not good enough to be our only tall forwards, Bandy is it

Note - Bandy forward = good
Bandy back = no forward who is big = bad

You are all saying bandy is our obvious life saver, personally i belive bandy needs to work on his game.

Has any one noticed when he gets the ball he takes for ever to dispose of it, wasting many valuable opportunities, or dropping the easiest of marks???
