Inside barriers are gold with the big sweeping Flemington bend. Especially this time of year when all horses are geared up to win.

15 Races and only one winner from a double figure gate and 12 winners from inside gate 6 or better with 16 placegetters

Rails moves out to 7m on Stakes day and there 7 races between the distance of 1400m and 2000m.

i dont know if it means anything but i remember seeing yesterday that all 3 sprint races were won by horses that ran along the inside rail.

I rarely ever bet on horses outisde barrier 8/9 in 14/1600 races at HQ. 2000 is not such a big deal as they have a decent run up to the first turn. In saying that, for 2000 speed maps come more into play as you need to know they there are 3 or 4 leaders in a race. Then I wouldn't bet on the outside as the hoop will decide to sit three wide all the way into the straight and then get in everyone's way when they are making there runs.
