It would have to depend on how many retire or delist. We played 4 ruckman last week, you would think thats enough
 
While I have been hopeful of a reappearance of big Barry, he has been in the bad books for a long time now.

He had an injury this year which was bad timing for him as we were needing a ruckman at the time. Since recovering he has performed admirably in the Casey Scorpions with several mentions in the best. He has also been amongst the goal scorers.

His future may have already been determined, but I still hold hope.
Ruckmen frequently mature into it later than other players and the club has made a large investment in draft picks, time, training and money to get him where he is today. If he is given another chance he must give it his all and show us what he's got.
 
its funny.....

although the block has played only 7 games he is always with the seniors on match day....always in the rooms when on TV and always in the ground entrance.

Its as if he is a senior player out injured....yet at the games i always see him mucking around as if he is top ****.....


whats with this....i too have been waitingand hoping for his potential to progress into the elite....


why the **** arnt we playing him

Doubt he'll be with us next year, been given enough time and hasn't produced.

Better off delisting him and getting a youngster in the draft, lost cause imo.

Gardiner - No, He hasn't played ruck fulltime for 3 or so years and has the turning circle of a semi trailer.
Everitt left us i think due to GT, so I doubt he'll ever come back

ackland jumps to early - get rid of him

dont care whats been happening with gardener he is a good ruckman who will help us win a flag. we wont with ackland, rix in ruck
 
Couldn't believe we didn't delist him at the end of '05. I've been willing to give him a chance and hoped he'd come good in 2004, but last year was the final straw.

Despite injury, he's been very disappointing.

He is clearly popular with the other players, but then again so was Nick Stone, and he was canned.
I don't know what the deal is with him, but I don't think he is rated by GT.
 
I think thay havent given Brooksy much of a go. I believe they should of given him 6-8 games in a row to show us what he is capable off.
Remember watching him as about a 15 year old kicking about 8 goals in a senior finals match. Took about 20 contested marks.

Im sorry to say it but every game i've seen him play he's been pathetic and useless. If he was as good as u say he was then i think that it is sad that he can't do any better. He obviously can't peform at this level in AFL. Get rid of him

With Cain Ackland and Jason Blake both having injuries, will Brooksy get a last chance to show his wares?

There is a very strong likelihood that Brooks will be delisted, but he hasn't been given a chance to show his wares so the other ruckmen's bad luck could give him that last second reprieve.

I know that if I were in Barry's shoes, I would be busting my boiler to make a career out of doing the thing he loves. He needs a break - a chance to show what he's got. This would seem to be his very last opportunity.

If he does get on the field - he has to throw himself into the match with everything he's got. He could be a revelation. Who knows? He has not been given a real chance, his last two appearances were both inadequate time on ground and he hasn't been given a chance since mid last year.

I have difficulty finding stuff on the Scorps as well.

I found the earlier stuff on Saintsational.

The Herald Sun site is fairly good, but doesn't get updated until a day later usually.

I sometimes find stuff here

Even though I thought we'd seen the end of him at the end of last year, it'd be good to see him play a couple of blinders out of nowhere. If he still has the passion to make it at this level, now's your chance Barry.
