He is going to put the boots into Roos and Kirk in his book.

He'll regret it later if he does.
It's a credit to Bazza how he handles himself in the media & in public. He is a perfect gentleman & is articlate & intelligent when he speaks. This is the person that Roos, Kirk & all his Swans team mates loved & looked up to.

Unfortunately for Barry, the out of control person that continuously punched opponents in fury was not the person that they loved.

Bazza needs to take responsibility (some of his comments suggest he hasn't yet) for his actions in those bad moments that he now so regrets.
He keeps saying that he brought the nickname, BBBBH, upon himself.
He needs to now realise that it aint Roos & Kirks problems anymore.
All they were guilty of was protecting him from doing more damage to others (& himself) whilst in that frame of mind.

The fact is that he had some time off & that was forced upon him by the Swans. This is the only reason why he has been able to come back successfully with the Dogs & full credit to him.
But he needs to see it for what it is & what it was!

Im really angry with him. Disgusted by what sounds like is coming out in his book. It really was all his own fault what happened at the Swans. We took him on and gave him a second and a third and 4th chance.

He will always be OUR premiership captain but as of today I am glad he left. I was disappointed when the swans cut their losses with him but not any more and if this is the way he wants to be with those who took a chance on him and made him then he can go jump. I wont be at the game on Saturday for the first time in 5 years but I wouldnt be clapping him off the field at the end.

How do you know? Hall has always said he's disappointed with how he left the Swans, but he's always taken full responsibility for what happened as well. Sure, Roos could have spoken to him earlier, but these things happen. He'll talk about his disappointment with Roos, but that doesn't mean he'll be sticking the boot into him. Roos himself has said he should have done things a bit differently.

And of course he's saying he feels like a Bulldog, he's playing for them. Give him 12 months and he'll be back in the Swans fold.

I really wish people would stop falling for tabloid sensationalism.

The reality is Barry will be remembered as a Sydney Swans premiership captain who gave the club he supported as a child, two very good years of service at the end of his career.

Regardless of what has or hasn't been said in the press, he should be applauded by both club's supporters for the enjoyment he has given us.

I always thought Barry was a very decent bloke - just one with a hot head. Off the field he never did anything wrong and it was only when he was fired up on the pitch that he got out of control and did dumb stuff. I have a lot of sympathy for the bloke and appreciate what he did for the club and was ashamed at the booing when I saw it at the SCG last time. A man cant change what he is and Barry was a great footballer with a good heart who unfortunately in the heat of a game couldn't control his temper - he paid a high price for that and he shouldn't be pilloried further for it I reckon.

I dont always believe what I read in the press, and they do take a lot out of context and dramatise it to get headlines.

I cant be there on the weekend, but if I was I would give him a standing ovation. When he left our team, things could have been done a little better on both sides, but in the end he was a premiership captain for the Swans, and he tried his guts out for our team. I will always appreciate him and his effort at the Swans, and regardless of what comes out in his book, he will always be the Captain that held the premiership aloft for our club and gave everything he had for it.

I think where Hall fell out with Roos and Kirk had alot to do with his personal beliefs he wasnt happy attending alot of the spiritual team bonding crap he was old school, he prepared better than anyone, he trained harder than anyone, he performed better than anyone just let the man play football. Try telling Johnathon Brown to sit on a mat and channel his chakra. I was disappointed in Roos for not taking his calls after discretions and I honestly feel that Hall was more there for promotional reasons over his football, in the end bad for the brand etc. To be honest if I joined a club that was coached and captained by muslims and they had alot of bonding sessions around muslim stuff as much as I would respect there beliefs I would hope they would respect mine, they would have more chance of me chucking a browneye at a nun than getting me to face east 5 times a day and bow to mecca. Im sure its not the only reason, frustrating gamestyle etc but l think peoples love and respect for Kirk and Roos wont let them see objectively. They are not perfect. I love them both though.

Hall is a champion footballer and a great bloke.

I really think a lot of this talk of a massive fall out between Roos and Hall is a bunch of shit.

Mark Robinson wrote a piece the other day that was led by the sentence "BARRY Hall has a deep-rooted rift with former coach Paul Roos that emerged yesterday after the full-forward announced his retirement."

That was followed by Hall being quoted as saying "
I've run into Paul a few times at airports and stuff like that and we've spoken fine. There is certainly no rift now and that's off the mark"

It's all a media beat up methinks. I'm sure Hall was angry and annoyed at how it all ended at Sydney but I doubt it is all as bad as the media would have it look.

I agree the personal fallout would be blown out of proportion by the media however my comments were more about the content that may be in his book, Im sure their will be a little poetic license so to speak.

Also on todays game Kirk just said he wants the Swans to win and Hall to kick 8.

To me it was the perfect ending for Hall. He kicked a bag and we still won. Barry Hall was a champion with the Swans and will always be remembered as such.

Put on a clinic today, similar to bradshaw's performance against Brisbane last year.

One of my biggest regrets as a swans supporter was that we couldn't help resolve hall's issues. He's an a grade forward, he would've kept us in the top 4, he probably would've played on in 2012 and become a 300 gamer

Lol true

Seriously, that's the best I've seen him play in a long time, and he's stitched is up the last few times he's played against us. This game just made me think of what could've been.

his kicking seems better against us than it ever was for us. He was bloody dangerous today, if we had him in the side with reid that would be nice.

If he was that good a kick we would have won back to back flags
Plays 160 odd games and captains a premiership side at one club.Goes to a shi# club where failure is the norm and plays 33 games.
" I want to be remembered as a Bulldog " Speaks volumes for Barry Hall the bloke. A selfish undisciplined sook. Going to a professional photographer tomorrow to see if i can get Brett Kirks head superimposed on to that photo of Hall holding that Premiership cup aloft. Skilton,Kelly,Maxfield,Kirk,Bedford take your pick of any to truly deserve the honor of Premiership captain.
Barry Hall. Please give me a spell !!!!
