Someone mentioned on another thread that "players weren't playing for Harvs" yesterday. I did get the same feeling but was afraid to even think about it. It did however get me thinking, in case there's an issue between players and Harvs, with Mitchells history of undermining a head coach [Pagan] and turning players against him at Carlton....


It can't be happening....surely. Or maybe?


Also, if he's the one lobbying for this zoning bullshit, then he needs to **** off.

Zoning is from Barry Mitchell !! He's come from Hawthorn last year, so he's trying to teach our boys to do it.

Trouble is we can't kick to a traget, and we handball to player's under more pressure i.e. Browne, so it cannot work coz we suck !!
But, with Harvey's blessing Mitchell has been given carte blanche to use the zone !!

why is every time we start to lose games it is always the players not playing for the coach? if the players are that F#$#$ing soft and cannot play as a team and play for the colours then they do not deserve to play at AFL level.

As supporters i think we need to stop trying to eat our own! I know that the years have been very lean for us, and I am hurting as much as the next Dockers supporter, but for christ sake, lose a few games and it time to get rid of the coach, sack this player, etc etc.

Yeah we want to be winning a premiership, but we need to give it time. If we sack the coach every time he loses a few games then we will never improve becuase we will constantly in a state of flux. A new coach comes in and starts his ideas all over again, so the players have to learn a whole new style of play etc.

There are many areas we need to improve on, skills being the main one. We need to give Harvey and his staff time to mould the team. if we go and get a new coach now, they will have to start trying to mould the team again. No matter who you get they are not going to transform the team to a premierhip side in one year. So every one just take a chill pill and chill the F%#$ out.

A few years ago geelong supports were calling for thompsons head, now look at them. A few years ago Hawk supporters were calling for Clarksons head......not the best example right at this moment, but at least they won a flag.

I just think there's a lot of duds and a couple of players out of form NF.

No argument from me here mate. Agree with just about everything and I'm all for giving Harvs all the time required. It was just a thought about Mitchell if he is trying to stamp his authority over other coaches, given what happened at Carlton. I may be wrong here and I'll be very happy if I am.

If our coach can't stand up to a ****wit like Mitchell then he isn't made of the right stuff to be a coach anyway.

i have often wondered whether we suffer as a team from an east vs south rivalry behind the scenes. i comfort myself by thinking that no matter where your allegience is at WAFL level this shouldn't effect the way you deal with people at Docker level.
