Ah he will recovery ready for the finals, well it doesnt really matter we have got great depth to carry on with this season, we would have to be closely the best depth in the league...

I had mild appedicitis earlier this year, felt crook for a week and then had some anti-biotics, was right two days later. But the doc said I should have it out someday soon. Just saying that it really may have been quite minor for Jimmy but the docs played cautious, like they did with Kerr.

Jimmy Bartel wears the number 3, bad things come in 3's.
1 = Jimmy getting concussion, 2 = Jimmy getting appendicitis(?), I wonder what number 3 will be...
;)

I'm betting on mange.

Or chafing.

But probably mange.

Medical literature shows that the appendix is not generally credited with significant function.
Whether or not the appendix has a function, it is routinely removed without any ill effects or side effects.

Is it conceivable that the game will eventually become so professional that all the players have the appendix removed in the off season as precautionary maintenance?

I hope he will be back in time, however a appendectomy can be a 50:50 each/way bet on how quick he can recover.

I had mine out ages ago, however it took 8 weeks to get over it. I was fairly fit at that stage too, although not as fit as Jimmey that is for sure.

I'm coming down for the first final, so I'm hoping he will be ok.

Hard to say how long. Josh Hunt only missed two as did Danyle Pearce.

Hopefully he will be back, heard that it was keyhole surgery so that is better than normal due to not having to cut through the stomach muscle so much.

So he should be back if it was done by keyhole, there is a lessened chance of needing to take time off lifting etc. So here's hoping he can be back for the last game.
