True. He emceed Pavs book launch a few years ago. He did a great job and was kind enough to have a chat to a nobody like me afterwards.

Met him a couple times. He's a very decent bloke.

I think he had a reality check with the backlash copped after jumping on the unfounded 'WCE culture' media bandwagon last year. Came off second best in a stand-offish interview with Simpson. Not the first media personality to attempt to cash in on outrage, and certainly won't be the last.

Live and let live imo, hopefully these mistakes are learned from. Not a natural AFL commentator, however.

It was very funny. Baz came on to introduce each question and to tell Scomo and Bill to wind up their responses. At one stage he went up into the audience for a bit of 'Roaming Basil'. If Basil wasn't jumping in every couple of minutes, they could have asked more questions. Guess they wanted a West Aussie connection. IMO Scomo started stronger, but Shorten finished on top.
