Could this ever be a move in the next year? Considering we have Rance, Grimes, Griffiths and Moore. The tall posts down back seem pretty secure. Whilst Dea, Houli, Morris and Newman serve as the smalls extremely well.

Batchelor is an excellent mark and can jump too. He would provide excellent forward pressure and in my opinion can be easily replaced down back. He could serve as that medium forward that we've been looking for. This idea just dawned on me and I was wondering what you thought of it.

We all know that he is an excellent defender and is very reliable, but with the resurgence of Moore, he can be replaced. He could even be used as a utility. Just remember how Bowden won games off his boot playing up forward too.

I like him down back playing the Bowden role. Rebounds and can play on talls and smalls. Griffiths to go to CHF next year.

HELL NOOOOO.
GRIFFITHS UP FORWARD = GENIUS!!!! MASSIVE KICK!!!!
ASTBURY UP FORWARD = :thumbsu: 3 goals on debut

I rate this idea! We all know his tackling is a feature of his game. Not sure why people are saying no due to wanting Astbury & Griffiths up there??? Batch would serve a different role, he wouldnt be a 'key' forward like those lads. Like the OP stated, he would be a medium hit-up forward which we currently lack. The only thing im not sure on would be his leg speed to keep the forward pressure up whilst he was there. Anyone know if his pace would be an issue? A nice thought M_R
