I am interested in a Nokia C5, looks pretty good as a handset (OVI GPS looks bloody great as a cheap alternative!!!!)...

To be honest I've had enough of this battle of good versus evil.. bad versus good...my dad's bloody better then your dad sheizen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apple vs Android...Shit...SO......................

How's the less "socially accepted OS'ses amongs't us:cool:" doing for us namely symbian??

Like to know how Nokia is doing, I always liked them :D

After being through a couple of smartphones mostly Apple and currently having the iPhone 4, I don't think I could go back to using a phone with an original keypad.

Do Nokia's/ Symbian OS devices still ship with Snake?

Symbian is the most sold phone OS in the world currently. Blackberry is second, Android third and Iphone fourth.

Android-based phones captured 17.2% of global sales in Q2, up from only 1.8% last year, according to new numbers from Gartner Group.

This amazing growth vaulted Android into third place, behind Nokia's Symbian (41%, down from 51% last year) and Research in Motion (18%, down from 19%). The iPhone OS, meanwhile, dropped to 4th, with 14% share, up only modestly from 13% last year.

Android also overtook RIM to become the No. 1-selling smartphone platform in the US.
I expect the iphone to gain some ground in the third quarter of this year due to the iphone 4. Although, the daily activations for Android devices have soared putting the Android OS in a very good position for the future.

Strong competition between phone manufacturers will benefit consumers.

WOW those are truely amazing stats.
I would never had picked those percentages.
I guess when you think of it, there still are a lot of people who are Nokia nuts ( like me :p) so I guess there are still a shitload out there...
Go figure :D

yeah I'm the same I can't imagine and hate using anything bar swype (slideIT is similar on iphone).

That being said the Nokia's are what they are and you will never have any problems with reliability.
