We all saw before about getting permanent seats behind the cheersquad, but some were against the idea of not being open to all members of the public.

Is it possible to sort out with the club a way to be inclusive of other supporters yet still be on the scene for 2008 - bearing in mind we are very grateful for what they do.

Im a sheep, and i will follow wherever we go. I just like to be an informed sheep.

Maybe the new announcement of Bay114 as a Alcohol zone is some sort of Omen? Where we can attract more merry men towards our cause?

Bay 114 will only be an alcohol zone when it is part of the members area, not when it is used as part of the outer.

Maybe we can just conveniently forget this?

Having to sit in the northern grandstand with drinks is dissapointing, means you cant stand.

Edit: And who drinks their beer at the football sitting down?

Can we talk to the club about AAMI stadium membership?

Sitting in either Bay 114 or bay 113 up against the fence, revving up the members and the boozhounds sitting int he pro-drinking members area.

This would fit us better, as we could spread out because not many people sit in that bay, might even be able to stand inside the bay this time and Reserved tickets wouldnt be a problem.

People who cant commit to every game can buy guest passes.

Only downside is you cant wear thongs in the members and we could only be inclusive of people in the members, we might need to get some people on both sides of the fence.

The main reason behind the club putting is near the supporters group is to "liven up" that area which should be leading the crowd but currently isn't. The higher ups in the supporters group are happy to help integrate us. So please stop all this but we stood in bay 114 and we want to stay there.

The club has made available season tickets in the section behind the supporters group. Fair enough that some people like to stand, but if we are to fire up the supporters group we need to be closer to them than standing up the back of the bay.

People who were on the waiting list for season tickets are able to skip the waiting list! That's a fair effort by the club and we should be willing to compromise to work with the club instead of complaining that we liked where we were.

As I said in the other thread about this topic, those that like to stand can still do so either in bay114 or behind us down the Southern end. The fact that noise will be made from the front and back of a bay will help to increase the noise level and support and isn't this why the group was started in the first place?

Marty - if you can't find something nice to say....... :( Not once has any of this group been thrown out of AAMI.

Get off your high horse and don't try and drag this planning thread down. I know that I have never been close to kicked out of the footy and I enjoy a bevvy or ten.

You have missed my point seems to me that the whole idea behind Bay 114 was to get better support and crowd involvement, which is what it should be about, but it seems a few want to use it as a 'get pissed get kicked out'.

From reading Bay 114 it seems there have been a number of occassions that ICDM has been booted out, now the AFC are supporting this idea and if they discover what they are backing isnt being used for the right reasons I would think they would they would not support it any further and none of us want it to lead to that.

The whole idea and from what Ive read and heard is a very good idea and lets keep it that way:thumbsu:

I want nothing more than to see that bunch of wannabe's CSG outclassed at every AFC home game in 2008:thumbsu:

fair points - i was just under the impression that we were still trying to accomodate the "rock up and cheer" mentality.

Im up for whatever.

Where did I say group:confused:

Is it not fact ICDM has been kicked out before????

I also believe you should be away from the cheer squad as you need to make a name for yourselves, you need to show them up not make them look good.

Nope, you're wrong. I enjoy footy just as much as drinking. Just because I want to combine my two loves and have a beer while watching the footy, makes me an alcoholic who will get kicked out? I'd say many of the Bay 114 would love to have a beer and cheer at the same time. It's no crime marty.

From reading Bay 114 it seems there have been a number of occassions that ICDM has been booted out

Think before you speak marty.

1) You must have read wrong. Once me and a few others were told to go home because the game had finished and there was a few arguments arrupting between opposition fans. The security guy feard for our safety and thought it was best if we left, seeing as the game was over and everyone was making their way out of the stadium. I and no one else for that matter has been kicked out halfway thru the game due to alcohol so get your facts straight marty.

2) You don't live in Adelaide, you have no idea what happens in Bay 114 or what goes on behind the scenes. Get a taste of Bay 114 first hand before you start blabbing on about crap you don't know about.

3) Whenever we're at the game a lot of the Bay 114 fellas drink before the game and inbetween quarters, so we've been doing it all year. Just will be easier if we were allowed to take beer with us while we watch.

Back on topic though, it doesn't even seem like we will be drinking in Bay 114 anyway and personally I'm happy with the way this year went. I love standing up the back of Bay 114 and yelling my lungs out. It all worked out well and I think it's only gonna get bigger & stronger this year. I'm a member so if the plan was to move behind the cheersquad I probably wouldn't change my members ticket to that area, however if we were up the back of Bay 114 I'd walk over every game and jump in the standing area. :thumbsu:

Why cant we just be happy with whatever the club offers?

If I was from the club, and I had made such a generous offer I would be getting a bit mift and some of the comments around here, some dont seem very grateful, always wanting something more.

I got another email from David recently on the issue but havent had time on here to post the jist due to starting a new job and all but wait up and ill have some more info.

It seems quite a few posts have disappeared, all of mine are gone yet maccasno1 shit stirring posts are still here. It would be hilarious to see you come to Bay 114 with us alcoholics maccas...

I just hope where ever the Bay X is situated next year there is standing room as I refuse to sit down at the footy, standing up makes you far more vocal and it's just how I roll. BRG makes an extremely valid point though as the AFC has been very generous towards us netheads.

Why would it be hilarious:confused: You maybe in for a bit of shock.

as i have said, the club has been extremely generous with what they have offered - i was just wondering what we aimed to achieve this year because we wont have the same ambitions as last year in trying to incorporate as many people as we can.

But if we want to change that it is fine, and ill happily sheep my way along.

I would say our MO this year was to improve the atmosphere at Crows games by a) getting together to make some real noise ourselves, and b) getting as many people involved as we could.

The opportunity presented to us might limit B to 50 of us specifically, but it really increases the opportunity of A by giving the opportunity to get the CSG loud, which is something we've never had.

Hell, if we could even get them to wave their friggin sticks while the opponents are having a shot at goal it would be a win. We've got to be the only club that doesnt do this.

Why a shock?
You think we are a bunch of drunks who go to the footy solely to get kicked out. Why would you want to mingle with that riff raff?

No I didnt and thats not my thoughts, my thoughts were expressed in another post ^^^^ if you had bothered to read it.

I think what Bay 114 is doing is great as long as its continued to be done in the right way, which at this stage it is.

fair enough - different year, different mission.

would be interesting having the bulk of the group in the seats with those who cant make every week/standers up the back - get the middle men involved hopefully.
